Overwatch Summer Games 2017 Event
Back in 2016, the Overwatch Summer Games event was the first time a special event had been put on for the game, and marked the 2016 Olympics in Brazil. There's no such real-life event like this in Summer 2017, but this hasn't stopped Blizzard from bringing the Overwatch Summer Games back for August 2017, complete with brand new Legendary skins for the likes of Mercy and McCree, and the returning Lucio Ball mode.
Overwatch Summer Games 2017 Start/End Dates
The Overwatch Summer Games 2017 event started just over a week ago on August 8, which means we're about halfway through the span of the event, which comes to a close on August 28. You've only got just over a week to get unlocking all those brand new skins for McCree, Reaper, Mercy, and othera!
We don't yet know the exact time the event will come to a close (as we previously did with the Overwatch Anniversary Event), but we'll update this guide as soon as we hear anything more on the situation.
Overwatch Ranked Lucio Ball
Remember Lucio Ball from the Summer Games 2016 event? It's back with a few new tweaks in the Summer Games 2017 event, namely that each Lucio player can no longer knock other players away, and Ultimates now increase Lucio's Boop speed, instead of pulling the ball towards the player using the Ultimate, like it used to.

Overwatch Summer Games 2017 Legendary Skins
A batch of new Overwatch Legendary skins are now available through the Summer Games 2017 event, but some old ones are also back for a limited time. When the Overwatch Summer Games event was first on back in 2016, a number of new skins were made available for characters like Tracer and Lucio, but only for a limited time. In the Overwatch Summer Games 2017 event, you'll get another shot at unlocking these older skins, as well as brand new ones.

How much do the Overwatch Summer Games 2017 Skins Cost?
The skins above are all the brand new Overwatch Legendary skins to arrive with the Summer Games 2017 update. They can only be earned through Loot Boxes as usual, unless you happen to have a spare 3,000 coins lying around for one of them.
Returning Overwatch Summer Games 2016 Skins
Below, you'll find all the older Summer Games 2016 rare skins, that have been brought back into the game with the recent update.
These are all the Overwatch Summer Games skins that are returning from the event back in 2016, which was originally scheduled around the Rio Olympics that Summer. Like the new Summer Games skins, these older ones are available to unlock through Loot Boxes or be purchased for 3,000 coins, but don't expect them to still be available after the event comes to a close.

Future Overwatch Events
The fact that the Summer Games event is returning to Overwatch for the second year in a row somewhat confirms that yearly events will be happening at set times. For example, we can now probably expect the Halloween event for Overwatch to return in October, as well as the Holiday event around Christmas at the end of 2017.
