Star Wars Battlefront 2 Best Heroes and Villains
Now that we've outlined all the various Heroes and Villains you can play as in Star Wars Battlefront 2, which are the best? To a certain degree, it's about personal preference, and whether you'd rather have strong blaster in your hands or a lightsaber. But there are some Heroes and Villains that are undoubtedly more powerful than the rest, when taking their special abilities and weaponry into account.
Just below, we'll be running down the best Star Wars Battlefront 2 Heroes and Villains in the game, as well as pointing out which areas in particular each one of them excels in.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 Yoda
We'd strongly bet on Yoda being one of the most powerful Heroes in Star Wars Battlefront 2, based largely on his size. Because he's about three feet tall, Yoda has a far smaller hitbox than basically every other Hero or Villain in the game, and he also has increased mobility, able to hop around the battlefield and from enemy to enemy with relative ease.
On top of this, Yoda has some brilliant abilities, able to push back and damage enemies in front of him with the Unleash ability, healing himself and allies around him with Presence, or rapidly dashing from enemy to enemy in quick succession with Dash Attack. Combining all these abilities together, Yoda can easily lead an attack in Star Wars Battlefront 2, as well as supporting those around him with Presence.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 Rey
The leading character of the new Star Wars trilogy, Rey is a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, charging around and dealing out heavy damage to all types of enemies both around and in front of her. Rey is undoubtedly one of the more powerful Heroes in Star Wars Battlefront 2, and we'd bet on her being one of the more popular due to her leading presence in the upcoming films.
As for Rey's various abilities, she can dash forward and deal damage to any enemies along the way with Dash Attack, revealing all nearby enemies while also increasing her damage and stamina with Insight, and finally dazing and confusing enemies for a short time around her, with the Mind Trick ability.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 Darth Maul
As for the most powerful Villains in Star Wars Battlefront 2, we'd have to recommend fan-favorite character Darth Maul, sadly taken from us before his time back in The Phantom Menace. Maul is one of the more rapid, mobile characters in the game, able to move around the battlefield with ease, especially when taking his unique abilities into account.
Darth Maul's abilities only heighten his destructive prowess, as he's able to hurl his lightsaber around with the Furious Throw ability, choke out nearby enemies with Choke Hold, and lead forward in a hectic spinning attack, with the Spin Attack ability.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 Emperor Palpatine
Finally, one of the more powerful Villains in Star Wars Battlefront 2 is undoubtedly Emperor Palpatine, due to his abilities to manipulate the battlefield around him, wreaking havoc on all the enemy troops nearby with various destructive abilities.
Emperor Palpatine's abilities focus on the area around him, for example he can use Chain Lightning to damage a series of enemies around him, and also use Dark Arua for the same effect, in the area surrounding him. Finally, he can use Electrocute to, well, electrocute a group of enemies in front of him, immobilizing them for a short amount of time.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 Hero and Villain Star Cards
For every single Hero and Villain in Star Wars Battlefront 2, you can find and equip Star Cards for them, found in loot crates, or crafted with Crafting Parts. For example, the Star Card for Kylo Ren just below enhances his Frenzy attack, so he can leap further.
You'll want to find and collect all the Star Cards you possibly can find in Star Wars Battlefront 2. As we mentioned, you can either find Star Cards in loot crates, or you can collect Crafting Parts found in loot crates, and then spend them to unlock a certain Star Card in particularly for your favorite Hero or Villain.
To check on which Star Cards you currently possess for a Hero or Villain, head over the the Collection tab and click on a character, where you'll be given the opportunity to equip up to three Star Cards at once. We'd recommend experimenting with Star Cards, and seeing which abilities you tend to use more often with certain Heroes or Villain. For example if you use the Choke Hold ability often with Darth Maul, you'll want a Star Card that can enhance that ability.
You also might be wondering how to upgrade Star Cards for your Heroes and Villains in Star Wars Battlefront 2, and for that, you'll need to unlock a certain amount of them for any one character. To unlock the ability to upgrade Star Cards for a Hero or Villain, as well as equip a second Star Card to any one character, you're going to have to unlock at least five basic Star Cards for the one character, each of which can be found either in loot crates by chance, or by using Crafting Parts to create them.
These are all the details you need to identify and dominate as the very best Heroes and Villains in Star Wars Battlefront 2. Bear in mind that EA has already laid out plans to add characters like Finn and Captain Phasma further down the road, so we'll always be updating our guides whenever new characters like these are added to the game.
