There are many different obtainable items you can get hold of in Star Wars Battlefront 2 Loot Crates, all of which are obtainable with in-game currency. We've taken into account that EA has now removed the ability to purchase Star Wars Battlefront 2 loot boxes with microtransaction currency, but the loot boxes themselves are still purchaseable through in-game Credits. You can be sure that if EA bring back microtransaction purchases to Star Wars Battlefront 2, we'll update our guides accordingly.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Loot Crates Guide

Just below, in our Star Wars Battlefront 2 loot box guide, we'll be running over all the items you can possibly earn through Loot Boxes, including additional information such as how much each variant of Loot Crate costs.

You'll be given a Daily Loot Crate for every different day that you sign into Star Wars Battlefront 2, which is pictured just below. Every Star Wars Battlefront 2 Loot Box, no matter the different rarity of type, will always contain three items. What these three items are however, is anybody's guess.

Once you've opened up a Loot Crate, you'll come to the screen just below, where you'll find three items that can all be revealed in any order.

You can obtain Crafting Parts or Star Cards through Star Wars Battlefront 2 Loot Boxes, and as you can see in the screen just below, we were lucky enough to obtain a Star Card for Boba Fett in this specific Loot Crate.

After this, we then went into the Collection tab of the main Star Wars Battlefront 2 home page, and then across to Boba Fett's section, where we could equip this specific Star Card for the villain. The Star Card in particular here is Death From Above, which allows Boba Fett to take 50% less damage while firing the Rocket Barrage ability from the air.

You can obtain a variety of other Star Cards through the Loot Boxes, such as emotes, victory poses for regular troops as well as heroes and villains, and perks for characters and vehicles, such as a reduced cooldown for a specific ability.

On top of this, you can also find Crafting Parts within Star Wars Battlefront 2 Loot Crates. While it might take a fair while to build up a decent amount of Crafting Parts, you can use them to unlock new weapons and Star Cards for both troops and vehicles, as well as upgrading your existing Star Cards. Say for example that a Star Card reduced the cooldown of a hero's ability by 10%, upgrading that Star Card with Crafting Parts might increase it to, say, 20%.

We mentioned that it might take a while to build up a fairly significant amount of Star Wars Battlefront 2 Crafting Parts, but make sure to exercise patience, as most Star Cards in the game can be crafted with just 40 Crafting Parts. On top of this, it'll often take 80 Crafting Parts in order to upgrade a Star Card, so make sure to save up your Crafting Parts, to unlock any specific Star Cards that are eluding you in loot crates.

Here's a list of all the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Loot Boxes, as well as how many Credits they each cost:

  • Daily Loot Crate - Automatically earned every day.
  • Hero Crate - 2,000 Credits.
  • Trooper Crate - 4,100 Credits.
  • Starfighter Crate - 2,400 Credits.

Now we'll run down all the possible items you can obtain through each type of Loot Crate in Star Wars Battlefront 2.

  • Hero Crate - This can contain either 1 or 2 Hero Star Cards, Crafting Parts, and 1 other item, including Trooper or Starfighter Star Cards, Special Star Cards, Vehicle Star Cards, Victory Poses, Emotes, and Weapons.
  • Trooper Crate - Can contain 1 or 2 Trooper Star Cards, Crafting Parts, and 1 other item, including Hero or Starfighter Star Cards, Special Star Cards, Vehicle Star Cards, Victory Poses, Emotes, and Weapons.
  • Starfighter Crate - Can contain 1 or 2 Starfighter Cards, Crafting Parts, and 1 other item, including Trooper or Hero Star Cards, Special Star Cards, Vehicle Star Cards, Victory Poses, Emotes, and Weapons.

Basically speaking, you could be in line to earn practically anything in a Loot Crate, hence the name. Although you can lean towards the probability of earning items for Troopers, Starfighters, or Heroes/Villains based on the crate you purchased, the items are still randomised, and you're still relying on the luck of the draw.

If you're wondering how to earn enough Credits in order to purchase Loot Crates, then all you have to do is head into battle in any online Star Wars Battlefront 2 mode. You gain Credits through your performance in Galactic Assault and Starfighter Assault, based on how well you played in one particular match. We can't say for certain how many Credits you'll earn for a particular performance, but we can say that the better the performance, the more Credits you'll earn.

This is all the complete information we have right now on Star Wars Battlefront 2 Loot Boxes, but make sure to check back on this guide in the future, as we'll be adding any information whenever EA makes any changes to the Loot Crates.
