Cloud Kingdom Bowser Fight Guide

You come face to face with Bowser for the first time on Cloud Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. Beating him isn’t that hard once you know what to do.

Firstly you need to fire Cappy into the white hat Bowser throws at you. This will stun the hat and allow Mario to jump into it. Once in the hat Mario has its boxing abilities. The goal is to get up close to Bowser and pummel him.

To get close to Bowser you’ll need to avoid the rings of fire he sends out, and dodge the boulders he throws. Neither of these tasks is hard. Once within striking distance you can let loose and attack him. He’ll be knocked back into the surrounding barrier, but the regroup to start attacking again.

Stage 2 is pretty much the same as Stage 1, but with more hats thrown at Mario. Just go for the white hat and repeat the above steps.

Stage 3 sees even more hats, and the sneaky Bowser will try to perform a tail swipe after you’ve pummeled him. Either step back or jump over this move, then hit him more to defeat him.
