Axe of the Blood God: The Chrono Trigger Report Returns!

PODCAST | Kat is so very close to finally finishing an all-time classic.

Article by Kat Bailey, .

Axe of the Blood God is our weekly RPG podcast hosted by Kat Bailey and Nadia Oxford. You can find the previous episodes here.

In this week's episode of Axe of the Blood God (download link here), the Chrono Trigger Report returns!

After being distracted by Persona 5, Nier Automata, Fire Emblem Echoes... pretty much everything, really... I'm finally back to Square Enix's classic. I share my thoughts on the Ocean Palace with Nadia, the big twist, and how I beat a particularly tough boss. I'm enjoying it! Also in this episode: Final Fantasy VII Remake, Dragon's Dogma, and Divinity Original Sin 2. So much to cover!

When I played this game the first time, I went through the Black Omen in three time periods just to farm Megalixirs. I know there could've been more efficient means, but whatevs!

Kat, You should have told that Frag Face of a Shadowrun DM to "Slot off!" It goes without saying that anyone would would leave food and water for their dog. Why didnt DM ask if you or anyother party members forget to put on underwear? Did your character forget to stop breathing while you took a whiskey sour? Welp, you character chokes as it goes down the wrong pipe.

The only May RPG I even noticed is Starcrawlers (which I bought).

Dual Divinity streaming sounds aces, but the question remains, who of Kat and Nadia will turn into a kleptomaniac psycho when confronted by Larian's wide open abilities?!?

Cool, another Gau fan! I really like using him when I play. He takes some work to get his good rages, but he has a lot of variety available. I still hope his concept gets reused in the future, maybe with improvements.

I actually already had the Crono doll since the beginning of the game so when I realized that I needed it I was more blown away by the fact that this seemingly pointless item from way back was actually necessary to beat the game than anything. I can, however, see how it seems like busywork if you don't already have it at that point.
