While everyone wants to hear the latest info about their favorite Blizzard games, one of the most anticipated aspects of BlizzCon is the exclusive pack goodies that you get when you buy a ticket.
There's always a bag full of physical items, which in the past have included promotional books, comics, cards and toys. But the things everyone gets most excited about are the digital in-game goodies. These are one-off vanity items that are only available if you attend BlizzCon, and are often so in demand after the show, that they sell on eBay for far more than the price of the BlizzCon ticket that secured them in the first place. Indeed, I just checked eBay to see what was available, and there's a bidding war on a Grunty in-game WoW pet that was given away at BlizzCon 2009. With a couple of days left to go, it's sitting pretty at $170.
At this year's Blizzcon, attendees can expect to receive no less than four in-game items - one each for World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Diablo III, and the upcoming Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. Being a WoW fan, I'm obviously most excited about the Murkalot Pet (especially since I have two others from prior BlizzCons). But I also can't wait to see what the exclusive Hearthstone card will be. Considering the game is soon to launch and looks like it'll be a runaway success, I think this it the item that will likely prove most valuable in the long run.
Here's the full list of items below. We'll be attending BlizzCon on November 2nd and 3rd and are anticipating some really cool news for World of Warcraft and StarCraft fans in particular.
