Capcom has released another trailer ahead of Monster Hunter: World's launch on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on January 26, 2018. This trailer concerns itself with the Elder Dragons, vicious, powerful creatures that shake the foundations of the Monster Hunter universe. The trailer shows off three of the new and returning Elder Dragons from the game.
"The steel dragon Kushala Daora is a beast with a body covered in metal plates and has the power to keep hunters at bay by generating wind storms around itself. The flame king dragon Teostra is a brutal fiend that spits blazing fire and any hunter who faces this fierce and deadly monster is in danger of being engulfed in a hellish inferno. Another monster introduced in the trailer is Dodogama, a rock-eating wyvern that possesses a unique saliva that causes rock to become explosive, a hazardous mix it will spit at its foes to warn off attackers," said Capcom in press materials.
Capcom also revealed that there will be one more PlayStation 4 beta for Monster Hunter: World. The beta will stretch from January 18 to January 22. In addition to the Great Jagras, Anjanath and Barroth quests in the previous betas, the new beta has a quest featuring "flagship monster" Nergigante.
The Monster Hunter team already stated that it wanted to add new monsters to the game via downloadable content (DLC). The first DLC monster will be the Deviljho, which will come to the game as a free title update.
"The Deviljho must feed constantly and will devour anything in its way, even feeding on the largest of monsters with its massive jowls. This wild beast really is one for only the bravest of hunters to take on!" said Capcom.
While PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will be tackling these monsters this month, PC players have to wait until the Fall before they can play Monster Hunter: World.
