Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 - All Gold Gnome Locations

Where to find every gold gnome figure.

Guide by Larryn Bell, .

There are plenty of collectibles to hunt for in Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. This guide will show you how to track down every Gold Gnome statue hidden throughout the game. Collecting all 54 Gold Gnomes unlocks the Gnomore achievement, as well as a special room that contains various chest rewards.

Gold Gnomes are hidden in both the Backyard Battleground, as well as the multiplayer maps. We will list the description for finding each Gold Gnome based on their general location, starting with the backyard.

Some Gold Gnomes are easy to find, while others are in hard to reach locations that require special unlock methods to reveal the gnomes. Follow our descriptions below to track down each of these gilded collectibles.

Collecting several Gold Gnomes will allow you to access a secret location called the Chamber of Gnomes, only if you follow the proper steps to reach the location. Head over to our Gnome Man’s Land Achievement Guide for details on how to unlock the Chamber of Gnomes if you haven’t done so already. You will need to have access to the Chamber of Gnomes to receive your reward for collecting all 54 Gold Gnomes.

Once you've finished collecting all of the Gold Gnomes, you can move on to collecting all 50 Snow Globes throughout the backyard. This task becomes available upon speaking to the Clam in the sewers. If you need help tracking down the Snow Globes, head over to our guide on all Snow Globe locations in Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2.

Note: The images for each Gold Gnome below will appear above its description. Some images will show a gnome silhouette for the gnomes we had already collected earlier.

The Backyard

There are 14 Gold Gnome statues to find throughout the backyard area, including one in each Hero Portal. You must play through the single player story mode to gain access to each Hero Portal on either side.

A few Gold Gnomes are in hard to reach locations, so we recommend using either Super Brains or the Peashooter to search for gnomes. Both of these characters have abilities that allow them to jump high enough to reach rooftops and other tall structures where some Gold Gnomes are found.

Gold Gnome #1 - Enter Davebot 3000’s garage after completing the simple quest to unlock the door. On the left side, there is a Gold Gnome at the edge of the table near the car.

Gold Gnome #2 - Head to the soccer field to the left of the main Treehouse. A Gold Gnome is found at the top of the scoreboard. To reach the collectible, equip a character with a high jumping capability, such as the Peashooter or Super Brains. Walk along the back of the bleachers, then jump to grab the collectible while still in the air.

Gold Gnome #3 - Go to the ZomDocks on the far side of the marketplace. To the right of the docks, you’ll find a Gold Gnome behind bars inside a drain pipe.

Gold Gnome #4 - Enter the sewers through the opening closest to the zombie side. Turn left, and continue down the corridor until you see a Gold Gnome behind bars near a staircase on the right wall.

Gold Gnome #5 - In the sewers, locate a narrow footpath that connects two platforms. Look across the gap toward a pair of copper pipes on the far wall. There is a Gold Gnome in the left corner just behind the pipes. To access this gnome, you must play as a character that can clear the gap, such as the Scientist or Citron.

Gold Gnome #6 - Return to the Treehouse, and enter the Hero Portal for Agent Rose. Look for a mushroom covered button beside the fountain ahead of the door. Shoot the button to reveal the Gold Gnome where the previous fountain statue was located.

Gold Gnome #7 - Enter the Hero Portal for Agent Corn. After completing all of Agent Corn’s missions, you will gain access to the chest to the left of the barn. Walk past the chest and turn right down the narrow alley behind the barn to find the next Gold Gnome.

Gold Gnome #8 - Enter the Hero Portal for Agent Citron. The Gold Gnome is found straight ahead of the portal entrance, on a table to the left.

Gold Gnome #9 - Once you have completed the main Hero quests for the plants, return to Davebot’s garage. Go down the passage beneath the parked car. Just before heading through the gold double doors, look along the wall to the left near the water. There is another mushroom button along the stone wall. Shoot the button, and a Gold Gnome will pop up beside the bridge.

Gold Gnome #10 - Respawn as a zombie, and head to the Mansion. Go past the Multiplayer Portal toward the left side of the Mansion, and look for a Gold Gnome on the ground beside a shallow grave.

Gold Gnome #11 - At the back of the Mansion, enter the purple Hero Portal for Super Brains on the left. Walk up the staircase to the left of where Super Duper Brains is standing, and locate the Gold Gnome behind the large sculpture.

Gold Gnome #12 - Enter the Hero Portal for the Imp and Z-Mech. A Gold Gnome is sitting in the car seat of a small red car along the right wall.

Gold Gnome #13 - Enter the Hero Portal for Captain Deadbeard, the Pirate. Approach ‘Ol Deadbeard at his desk, and turn right toward his bedroom. You’ll find a Gold Gnome on the bookshelf in the right corner of his bedroom.

Gold Gnome #14 - In the Mansion area, drop down the hatch beside Dr. Patient to reach the laboratory. Once you enter the portal, walk forward and turn around to look toward the back wall. A Gold Gnome is sitting at the edge of the rock pillars. Use either Super Brains or the Footsoldier, and activate their abilities to jump to the rocks to reach the collectible.

Multiplayer Maps

Most of the Gold Gnomes are carefully hidden throughout the various multiplayer maps. The best method for finding all of the gnomes in multiplayer is to create a private match with specific settings. Access the Multiplayer Portal, and set up a private match for each map listed below. Under Crazy Settings, tick the box for Speed Boost Craziness. For the Team Setup, select None for both plants and zombies to ensure you have plenty of time to freely roam each map.

Zen Peak

Gold Gnome #15 - Follow the river as it flows into a waterfall off the edge of the map. Stand at the waterfall, drop down off the edge. There is a small shrine just behind the waterfall that contains a Gold Gnome.

Gold Gnome #16 - Move along the very edge of the map on the far right side. Locate a set of small rock outcroppings that go up in steps. Use a character with a jump ability to hop up the rocks and find a Gold Gnome on the left.

Colizeum

Gold Gnome #17 - From the starting point on the plant side, head to the right. Go past the Zomboss Caesar statue, and search the smooth rock nearby. Locate a small cave covered in vines, with a Gold Gnome statue tucked inside. You must play as a short character, such as the Peashooter or Imp, in order to collect the gnome.

Gold Gnome #18 - On the opposite end of the map from where you found #17, look for a broken edge where the walkway crumbles. Jump off the edge, and turn around to find a mushroom button. Shoot the button, then respawn. Return to where you jumped off the edge, but this time drop down to the right to find a Gold Gnome in a small alcove in the wall.

Lunar Landing

Gold Gnome #19 - From the plant starting point, travel to the opposite side of the map and locate a drill coming through the rock wall. Hop up onto the drill to discover a Gold Gnome inside the driver seat.

Gold Gnome #20 - From the drill where you found #19, head to the left and enter the blue doorways. On the far end of the building, locate a set of trophy shelves that contain a mushroom button. Shoot the button, then go down to the right to find a newly opened room with a Gold Gnome inside.

Z-Tech Factory

Gold Gnome #21 - While facing the Zombot assembly area, go left and search the containers in the corner. A Gold Gnome is sitting behind metal bars in a small container beside a weapon case.

Gold Gnome #22 - Look over the metal railing across from the Zombot assembly area. There is a mushroom button on the building further away to the left of the crane. Wait a few moments, and a Gold Gnome statue will slowly drift toward you via balloon.

Time Park

Gold Gnome #23 - From the center hub on Time Park, enter the Zgypt portal. Follow the stream on the right and locate a short grate that has a Gold Gnome behind its bars.

Gold Gnome #24 - From the Zgypt portal, enter the Rome portal and head to the right. Beside the Seeds of Time portal, look for a mushroom button covered by vines. Shoot the button to reveal the Gold Gnome on the pedestal below.

Sandy Sands

Gold Gnome #25 - From the starting point, head to the right toward the river bank. From the shore, look up to the right to find a mushroom button high upon the side of the building. Shoot the button, and wait a few moments for the Gold Gnome to float to your location on the river.

Gold Gnome #26 - Go to the construction area on the opposite end of the map. Locate a clay vase above a doorway on the left. Shoot the clay vase to reveal the Gold Gnome.

Boney Island

Gold Gnome #27 - Travel to the side of the map where the water is located. Stand at the shore, and follow the shoreline to the right. A Gold Gnome will be just behind the rock cliff.

Gold Gnome #28 - On the side of the map opposite the open water, look for a waterfall. Look up to find a mushroom button above the waterfall. Shoot the button to reveal the Gold Gnome in front of the waterfall.

Frosty Creek

Gold Gnome #29 - Locate a sign that says Sawdust Mill, and continue toward the edge of the map. Along the avalanche area, look in the truck bed of one of the trucks, where the zombie feet are sticking out. There is a Gold Gnome in the lunch box.

Gold Gnome #30 - Walk to the edge of the water beside the Sawdust Mill. Look for a mushroom button along the top of a bridge on the left. Shoot the button, then wait patiently for a Gold Gnome to travel by log to your location along the river.

Zomburbia

Gold Gnome #31 - On this Herbal Assault map, spawn in as a plant. From the plant spawn, go to the far right side and locate a Gold Gnome in the yard at the corner house, behind a large tree.

Gold Gnome #32 - On the way to the second capture point, look for a house on the left side with a metal garage door. On the left wall outside the garage, shoot the fence to reveal a hidden mushroom button. Shoot the button to open the garage, and snag the Gold Gnome inside.

Gold Gnome #33 - Continue to the third capture point at Zompark. When facing the capture point, head to the left and look for a pair of scorpion-like creatures in a cage. There’s a broken cage to their left that contains a Gold Gnome.

Gold Gnome #34 - Cross to the far side of Zompark where the aquarium is located. On the top side of the aquarium, jump onto the rocks beside the dock. There is a Gold Gnome just behind the metal grate along the ground.

Gold Gnome #35 - Continue toward the fourth capture point. Locate the Bat Frat house near where the parade floats begin. Use a Chili Bean Bomb to detonate a wall panel at the center of the house, revealing the Gold Gnome.

Gold Gnome #36 - Continue to the final stage of the Zomburbia map, and head to the Library. Locate a mushroom button on a bookshelf behind one of the Interact books. Shoot the button to reveal a hidden room on the left containing a Gold Gnome.

Moon Base Z

Gold Gnome #37 - From the plant starting point, move forward a bit, then look up to the right. Shoot the mushroom button up high on the cliff, then wait for a meteor to send a Gold Gnome crashing down to a nearby pillar.

Gold Gnome #38 - Enter the building toward the second capture point. From the entrance, immediately go left and shoot the mushroom button beside the pile of luggage. A Gold Gnome will appear at the top of the debris.

Gold Gnome #39 - Continue toward the next capture point. When you reach the low-gravity area that contains the tombstones, go over to the edge overlooking a large machine with many hands. Drop down the cliff onto a lower platform that contains a Gold Gnome.

Gold Gnome #40 - Continue on to the Mine Shaft capture point. Move along the metal walkway surrounding the large drill just before the capture point. Look over the edge of the walkway, and drop down toward the crystals along the rock wall. You should land inside a hidden tunnel that leads deep into the rocks. Continue through the tunnel until you reach the Gold Gnome.

Gold Gnome #41 - Go past the Mine Shaft capture point and locate several machines crushing crystals along the back wall. There is a Gold Gnome inside one of the mine carts outside these crushers.

Gold Gnome #42 - Just before the final stage of Moon Base Z, jump up onto the purple pipes outside of the building. There is a Gold Gnome on a small platform along the rock wall to the right. Use a high jump ability, such as the Peashooter’s Hyper, to reach this collectible in low-gravity.

Great White North

Gold Gnome #43 - On the Great White North map, play as a zombie and continue toward the second capture point that contains the ice sculptures. Head up the path to the right, and shoot the snowman to reveal the Gold Gnome.

Gold Gnome #44 - Continue to the Hockey Rink capture point. Look toward the Yeti shaped mountainside, and walk up the path into the Yeti mouth. Shoot the ice wall at the back of the mouth to reveal a room that contains a Gold Gnome.

Gold Gnome #45 - At the log cabin capture point, walk underneath the bridge that crosses over the frozen stream. Shoot the frozen wall sections to reveal a Gold Gnome.

Gold Gnome #46 - From the bridge, follow the frozen stream toward a lake. Walk along the docks, and hop onto a snowy island within the lake. Look toward the left of the treeline, and shoot the mushroom button to reveal the Gold Gnome in the water beside you.

Gold Gnome #47 - Continue toward the next capture point, keeping to the left side along the windy cliffs. Locate a set of tall, thin trees, and drop down the cliffside onto a platform. Turn around to find a hidden room beneath the ice that contains a Gold Gnome.

Gold Gnome #48 - Go toward the capture point outside of the Yeti cave. To the right, there is a mushroom button on a wall across the chasm, beside the fence. Shoot the button to reveal the Gold Gnome, which is located on top of a tall snow pillar just outside of the Yeti cave entrance.

Seeds of Time

Gold Gnome #49 - On Seeds of Time, spawn in as a zombie. Enter the gift shop to the right of the zombie spawn, and look along the shelf beside the right door to find a Gold Gnome.

Gold Gnome #50 - After the first two capture points, enter the Zgypt portal. Go up the staircase to the right of the teleporter door. On the toy shelf, there is a Gold Gnome on the right.

Gold Gnome #51 - Enter the Azia portal, and keep to the left side near the rollercoaster. Standing at the footbridge, look up to the right to spot another mushroom button. Shoot the button, then wait for a Gold Gnome to float to your location near the bridge.

Gold Gnome #52 - Enter the portal to Rome, and keep to the right side. Look for a waterfall in front of the gift shop that has a mushroom button behind it. Shoot the button to reveal a Gold Gnome behind the gift shop counter.

Gold Gnome #53 - From the gift shop where you found #52, continue along the path until you reach the coliseum. Look up to discover a Gold Gnome high upon the outer wall of the coliseum. Use a high jumping character to reach the collectible.

Gold Gnome #54 - This final Gold Gnome is found on the Rose castle spawn during the final stage of Seeds of Time. Respawn as a plant, and head to one of the rooms at the back corner of the castle spawn. A Gold Gnome will be sticking out of a burning furnace in the back room.

Once you have collected all 54 Gold Gnomes, head to the Chamber of Gnomes beneath the sewers in the backyard. Collecting all of the Gold Gnomes will unlock the Gnomore achievement/trophy, and will open a new door inside the Chamber of Gnomes itself.

I have done all of these...twice just to make sure, and it still says I'm missing one. Just fir good measure i had my husband go through them with me today. We have no clue what's up. Now he just read something where people are saying to do The Great White North on "crazy" to get it to register. We'll see if that works.Edited April 2016 by chyrlduggan14
