Saints Row IV Season Pass Includes Enter the Dominatrix DLC

Planned Saints Row: The Third DLC returns in Saints Row IV with a new Director's Cut.

By Mike Williams. Published 8 months ago

Are you really psyched about Saints Row IV next month? Well new publisher Deep Silver has announced the Saints Row IV Season Pass, which gives you access to two packages of downloadable content.

The first content in the Season Pass is the Enter the Dominatrix DLC. When it was first announced in May of 2012, Enter the Dominatrix was planned as a standalone expansion pack for Saints Row: The Third, retailing for $29.99. The franchise was at THQ at the time and in June 2012 newly-minted THQ president Jason Rubin decided to cancel the DLC and make it the fourth entry in the franchise. Now that Saints Row is at Deep Silver, the content that wasn't merged with Saints Row IV is being released as humorous behind-the-scenes Director's Cut, with the game's characters explaining why the content was cut.

Rounding out the Season Pass is a second mission pack planned for late 2013, and the exclusive "Rectifier" anal probe weapon. The weapon led to Australian censors banning the game's release and Volition having to remove the Rectifier from that version of the game, according to a report by Eurogamer.

The Season Pass will be available on all platforms for $9.99. Buying all the DLC by itself will run you $15, so it's probably worth it if you love Saints Row. Saints Row IV will be available on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on August 20, 2013.

Given how much DLC was released for Saints Row The Third, I have to say that I was expecting a bit more out of this season pass.

@davidbabb52 The Season Pass for The Third (which was $20 rather than $10) only got you three DLC packs -- all the other stuff wasn't included, and you had to buy piecemeal if you wanted it.

@pjedavison Wow! Had no idea. I didn't pick up the title until the Humble THQ Bundle last year. I just remember looking at the DLC list and feeling a bit overwhelmed.
