Capybara Games has announced that its indie adventure game, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, has sold over 1.5 million across all platforms. In the two years since launch, the game has been released on iOS, Android, PC, Mac, and Linux. Capybara recalls the March 2011 launch of the game on iOS as, "exciting, stressful, celebratory and even terrifying." The developer released an infographic detailing the stats surrounding the game's sales.
When it came to units sold, Humble Bundle 5 and iOS took a huge chunk of the pie with 34 and 33 percent of the 1.5 million total respectively. Direct and Mac App Store sales were under 1 percent and Steam sales were at 7 percent. Android managed to hit 26 percent, but most of those were through the Humble Bundle Android 4 and 5.
55 percent of the game's total revenue came from iOS, 19 percent from Steam, and 16 percent from Humble Bundle 5. All told, Android only contributed to 9 percent of the total revenue across Google Play, Humble Bundle Android 4, and Humble Bundle Android 5.
