USdealhunter: GOG.com's Great Telltale Sale

Here's the best deals for this weekend and next week! Telltale classics, Bioshock Infinite, and more are going for cheap!

By Mike Williams. Published 3 months ago

Take it from me: there's nothing better than saving money on games that you probably won't play for another year. If you're looking to pad out your backlog until it becomes a heavy chain of guilt and shame, you've come to the right place. Here's some of the best deals stretching into next week!

General Coupons

Green Man Gaming is offering 25 percent off on downloadable titles if you use coupon code GMG25-0YUM5-VKMVU. That code will expire on January 13.

PC

Amazon has a couple of good deals going on right now. Bioshock Infinite is only $13.20, which is 67 percent off the original sticker price, and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is exactly 50 percent off at $7.49. There's a deal on 3 months of Xbox Live, but that just bringing those cards in line with the normal price of a full year's subscription, so I'd skip that deal.

Green Man Gaming has Hitman: Absolution Professional Edition at an absolutely insane $5.62 if you use coupon code GMG25-0YUM5-VKMVU. They also are selling Final Fantasy VII on Steam for $5.99!

GameFly is throwing a bunch of Origin-active haymakers with Dragon Age 2 for $3.99, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning for $3.99, and Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition for $5.99 if you use coupon code GFDJAN20. They also have Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition (Steam) for $3.99.

On Steam proper, Torchlight II is playable for free this weekend and if you decide to take the plunge, the game is only $4.99 (75 percent off)!

Love Telltale adventure games? GOG.com is selling Tales of Monkey Island for $5.24, Sam & Max Save The World for $4.49, Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space for $4.49, Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse for $5.24, Back to the Future for $3.74, and Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures for $2.99. There's more stuff in the sale, but I wanted to highlight those great Telltale titles at deep discounts.

PlayStation 4/Xbox One

Fry's Electronics has a number of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One games at $39.99, including Knack, NBA 2K14, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Forza 5, Dead Rising 3, and Ryse.

Xbox 360/PlayStation 3

For this weekend only, GameStop has NBA 2K14 for PlayStation and Xbox 360 for $39.99, which is $20 off of the suggested retail price. On Saturday only, the Skylanders Swap Force Starter Pack is also $20 off, bringing the wallet-draining price down to $59.99. The retail chain also looks like it's trying to divest itself of the Tomb Raider reboot before the Definitive Edition hits stores on on January 28. Tomb Raider for Xbox 360 is only $9.99, which isn't a big drop from its current price of $15, but it is a big drop from the original $60 price tag.

Amazon is matching GameStop's Tomb Raider 360 price, so it's $9.99 there too.

Xbox Live has a few Games on Demand for sale as well. Borderlands 2 is 67 percent off at $9.89. Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3, and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon are all discounted at $4.99, $14.99, and $4.94 respectively. X-COM Enemy Unknown is $13.59 (66 percent off) and its expansion is half off at $19.99.

On the PlayStation Store, Time and Eternity is only $19.99, 50 percent off its normal price.

3DS/PlayStation Vita

Fry's Electronics is selling Pokemon X, Pokemon Y, and Legend of Zelda: a Link Between Worlds for $29.99.

Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable for PlayStation Vita is $14.99 (63 percent off) on the PlayStation Store.
