Not to troll... but wasn't Xbox Live, or "the cloud" supposed to improve matchmaking?

I like the subtle implication that, were this a sequel and not a new IP, it might've just been released with no delays, repetitive and all!

@MetManMas "Longer does not necessarily mean better; I've played plenty of games that overstayed their welcome."

No one's saying it isn't long enough, we're all content with an appetizer. What we're all saying is 30$ for a 2 hour campaign is ridiculous.

What about Resistance 1 vs Resistance 3 for PS3? And it would've been interesting to sneak The Last of Us somewhere in there, since the graphics Naughty Dog was able to squeeze out of the PS3 in its seventh year are mind boggling.

I just finished single player portion of the game, and it is definitely NOT a 2/5. While a few segments weren't the greatest decisions on the developer's part (insta-death skydiving sequences, for example) it was overall a very enjoyable game. It adds just enough mechanics on top of basic shooting to be fresh (the OWL and the Sonar), and the shooting itself is tight and smooth. My only complaint with gameplay is that you can't turn off aim-assist...

Anyways, to anyone who has a PS4 already and who likes FPSs, I definitely recommend Killzone.

@MHWilliams Thanks for the link! I hadn't noticed it. It's interesting that Sony had actually tested ideas very similar to Valve's new controller--touch screen where the touchpad is, all touch pads for input rather than buttons, etc. The article, though, despite being in 4 parts, doesn't touch on some of the real details I want to hear: input latency, button travel distance, etc. But like I said before, I won't be using an aftermarket controller, so however it turns out is what I'll have to put up with!

That all sounds great! But what I've always been looking for in a controller is faster response time and reduced dead-zones, but no one ever talks about these things. I won't fault you for not mentioning it since it'd be kind of hard to test without a game! Either way, it is what it is and it's what I'll be using with my PS4, so I'll have to be content no matter how the DS4 turns out. I'm just really hoping Sony improved on those aspects.

The best thing about RPGs is, out of any genre, they're the ones that age best. Because they're not about graphics, and their gameplay never gets outdated, it doesn't matter all that much if you play them years later. What's most important is the story, and a good one is timeless.

I also recently read about Microsoft dropping the "RT" from its "Surface RT" name for future models, because of "consumer confusion". Yeah, Microsoft, *that's* why consumers aren't buying your tablet... I rather think it's because they're too informed and know exactly what they'd be getting into. As for the Wii U, I think it's a similar story. It's easy to blame consumer confusion rather than identify the real problems. For example: maybe the Wii was a fluke? Maybe consumers who got the Wii don't want the new one? Maybe consumers are aware of its current library and aren't tempted yet? It could be anything...

@Captain Gonru I'm not quite sure what you're arguing for... You want GameStop employees to be paid more, and make commission, both of which would raise game prices? As an informed gamer, that's the last thing I'd want, personally! Keep the games as cheap as possible, I don't need a knowledgeable clerk when I know more than I really should about games... I have to say though, when I went to preorder Dragon's Crown at my local EB Games, the clerk didn't even bat an eyelash--she knew exactly what I was talking about, even though it was a pretty niche title! I've never felt lack of knowledge on the part of game store employees was ever a problem.Edited October 2013 by Unknown

@johnmakatura91 Covenants will help you there. We already know there's supposed to be a covenant that insta-summons a phantom to help you the moment you get invaded. There may or may not be other covenants that help you if you don't want to PvP. Or you could always play offline...
