I did wonder if they were going to make this change after it was revealed they originally changed the prompts really late in development. I don’t think I got a single interrogation right thanks to the choices seeming to bear no resemblance to the prompts.

Really I think the best option would have been to put specific prompts in for each interrogation a bit like Mass Effect’s dialogue choices. It would be a fairly big change but least that way you’re not using generic prompts that often seem completely at odds with what happens.

I reckon we’ll be saying goodbye to Ghost Games soon, this year’s Need for Speed has reviewed fairly poorly so it won’t be long before EA shut them down.

Aside from New Donk City most of my favourites seem to be at the bottom of this list! In particular I really enjoyed Wooded Kingdom and Snow Kingdom.

I still haven't collected all the moons, although now I've finally done that f***ing volleyball one I can get back to everything else. I still need to work out some of those cryptic picture puzzles too. There's just so much to do in this game!Edited 2 weeks ago by Unknown

Sounds pretty good, I did have one preordered but replacing my iPhone 6 Plus with the X was a bigger priority for me as the phone runs really slowly and I already have a PS4 Pro. Maybe if MS come through with some Black Friday deals I’ll be tempted enough to grab one, although I suspect the price won’t drop that soon to prevent angering the early adopters. I really do want Gears 4 at 60fps!

I think MS have got to address the exclusives problem by buying or opening some new studios, although given how long it takes to make a AAA game these days by the time those games are ready this generation could be nearly over. Of course if they also put all those exclusives on PC as well it dilutes any cachet the Xbox might have gained.

Good, good, another game I don't even need to consider buying. There's plenty of great games coming out that don't use loot crates so I can continue to ignore all the ones that do.

Any list with Super Mario World at the top is fine by me! Although I'd personally have this as my top 10:

    1) Super Mario World
    2) Mario 64
    3) Mario Galaxy 2
    4) Super Luigi U
    5) Super Mario Bros. 3
    6) Super Mario Bros. 1
    7) Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA)
    8) Mario Land 2
    9) Wario Land 1
    10) Super Mario 3D Land

You'll notice there's no Odyssey in my list, that's because I think it's too soon to judge its long term appeal. Certainly I've spent every free moment I can on the Switch hunting down moons so it's certainly a fantastic game first time around. The question is whether it will be a game I want to come back to, most of the games in my list above I've finished dozens of times, I'm unsure yet if Odyssey will be one of those or not. Given how vast the game is, it might be that it becomes a bit tedious to replay, but time will tell!

Can I just use this moment to say getting 100 points on the volleyball game on Odyssey is total bullshit. Anyone got any tips for cheesing it? Other than that, the game is a magical and delightful experience.

It’s been a Mario Odyssey weekend for me, I’ve been playing it almost literally non-stop. I’ve been refusing to move on to the next kingdom until I’ve found all the moons, but there seem to be some that just can’t be found. I’m assuming they’ll become available post-game or will be part of those screen capture puzzles.

I’ve no idea how much game is left to play, I know of at least one kingdom that I’ve only seen via a picture frame warp and I’m assuming Bowser will have a dedicated kingdom at the end of the game. The game is vast and I’m still not tired of it.

Only time will tell if it has long term appeal to me like Mario World and Mario 64. I do like how it’s not as annoying as 3D World was on the Wii U.

I’ve got nothing against the technology and applaud them for trying something original but the Kinect was the proverbial albatross around the Xbone’s neck.

It would be fascinating to travel to a parallel universe where GPU horsepower wasn’t sacrificed so they could include Kinect and see how the hardware turned out.

@MetManMas That's interesting, I hadn't realised they'd changed it that much, I'd always assumed it was more or less just a hi-def port of NG Black. I'm definitely glad I've got the original to play then! :)
