I like the theory that Mayor Pauline has just created all her citizens a la Princess Bubblegum in Adventure Time.

Actually, if you follow the Mario Timeline (I'm sure there is one out there somewhere), it isn't a stretch to think that all the Mini's from the Mario and Donkey Kong games have just evolved into the citizens of New Donk City. They are all clockwork people made in the image of real people like Pauline and Mario.

Does Peach wear the wedding dress that is on her amiibo in the game, if so why and how did she put it on. Either she was forced to wear it, which is really disgusting on Bowser's part, or she wore it willingly and she is just toying with Mario.

There really isn't a possibility which doesn't make one of the characters irredeemable.

Though I guess Bowser is always pretty Harvey Wiensteny no matter how you look at it.

I loved playing it with my son for a while but it got buggy as hell by the end. Or the middle. The Doctor Who one kept crashing and I never finished it as a result.

Or just build a Raspberry Pie with RetroPie that can probably do way more than this thing can, especially if it won't run high end AAA games. My Raspberry Pi can even play most Dreamcast games.

Kind of a clickbait title, no offense, because it was actually the other way around. The baby rescue was HIS idea and his coworkers told him it was a bad idea. The title implies the opposite.

Sounds like you are trying to deny Sakamoto credit for the most pivotal scene in the game. It' honestly bigger news that we know for sure that scene was his idea, as I think a lot of fans still like to give Gunpei a lot of undeserved credit for the Metroid games, especially after Other M came out, fans loved to shit all over Sakamoto where they need to be praising him for everything he has done for the series over the years.

AM2R is more of an actual prequel to Super Metroid, in my opinion. It feels like a derivative of Super Metroid not Metroid II, which is what most people wanted. It doesn't feel like Metroid II to me. Which isn't a bad thing.

Samus Retruns feels like they tried to capture what made Metroid II appealing when it came out and modernize it, which I think they did successfully. Both games were trying to accomplish different things and I think both succeeded in their goals.

For me personally AM2R couldn't hold my attention. Samus Returns feels more like Metroid to me in that when I'm not playing it, I wish I was playing it. I had to force myself to keep playing Am2R eventually to the point where I stopped playing.

@NateDizzy Yeah, that was exactly my point. With Nier and BD you had a small team, make games that were huge international successes. Any other publisher would look at that and say, "Let's give them a bigger budget."

Nier probably will get a bigger budget for the next game, but the BD team is constantly having to work cheaply and reuse assets to extend game length because they aren't given a proper budget for their efforts, and then fans bitch about reused assets.

If you took the BD battle mechanic and stuck it in a Final Fantasy game. Hell, even get the Yoko Taro to write a Final Fantasy game, it would be a much bigger success than whatever Overwatch thing they are going to do next as a result.

They never look at where their talent is, and allocate it properly. They just keep giving money to Nomura to waste on overblown budgets and delays.

And they will fail at it. Square the last 10 years has been about looking at trends in gaming and then capitalizing on it 2 years too late.

As soon as they get their gaming as a service off the ground the market will have shifted to the next big stupid thing.

Here's an idea. Just focus on making a good game. Stop copying success and just do what you used to do, make good games.

Bravely Default and Nier were both after thoughts for SquareEnix and they are both their biggest breakout successes in the last couple of years.

But they are still looking at what other companies are doing that succeeded and copying that instead of fucosing on their own successes.

    What a much of nimrods.

I can't ever trust these complaints anymore because everyone judges framerates by such different metrics.

Like people complained about framerate in Breath of the Wild. I'm sure it was there, but I never noticed or it didn't impact my gaming experience enough for me to even recall it happening.

I really only care about a framerate drop if it goes from 30 to 5, otherwise I tend not to care or notice.
