Failsafe is the best thing to happen to Destiny since Cayde-6 was given a personality.

I really wish I could replace my Nolan North Ghost with Failsafe. I spend 90% of my playtime on Nessus just to hear her commentary, even though I've heard every line by now.

They didn't make the Ghost female originally so people wouldn't compare it with Cortana, but it would have made more since to use Failsafe from the beginning as she is more Anti-Cortana than just making your AI companion a guy.Edited 2 times. Last edited 2 days ago by Unknown

    I had no idea either.

But this should be a good reason for all game developers to STOP PUTTING MEMES IN THEIR GAMES!

What a way to quickly outdate your product, look out of touch and in the worst case, look like a racist.

There's a good chance Jeremy is having reservations about finishing Metroid because he wants to move on to Etrian Odyssey. We've all had that happen. Two games come out at the same time that you really want to play and you pick one, and then halfway through you wished you picked the other one.

It's not really a knock on the game you are currently playing, but you read your gaming mood wrong.

Well at least it sounds like there will be sword fighting. I was getting kind of worried it was just going to be an indie game showcase.

I expected as much but I was holding out some hope, because damn, Bethesda really makes ugly character models. That's the main reason that keep me from finishing these games. Everyone is so ugly.

It is nice to actually know I can enjoy a Direct for the first time in years without being apprehensive about a Metroid announcement and then instantly angered when one isn't announced, and in the process not being able to get excited about other announcements.

@dard410 Of course it does. It's a 3DS game. Name a single 3DS game where screenshots on websites looked good. The games always look better on the actual system.

Wow this is the best review for it so far.

Of the Classic Retronauts Trifecta of Parish, Kohler, and Bailey Parish is the outlier. You and Kohler both recalled Metroid II being heavily combat focused and the remake plays off of that, where Parish likened it to being made in the Dark Souls era.

As Parish has always seemed like the bigger Metroid fan, I don't know who to trust! Perhaps Parish is just afraid of having his heart broken in the end.

Not that it matters I'm buying it no matter what.

This will be their 1-2 punch. Getting Switch out early was to help give them a better fiscal year, but for all intents and purposes I have a feeling this Direct will be what they always planned to be the real launch of the console. They knew they could glide to September with Zelda and maybe Splatoon. Luckily they got way more than they bargained for.

I bet the plan was always to hit hard after E3. They had a good E3, but it was short, because they were planning for this. Expect some heavy hitters tomorrow.

Spider-Man and the X-Men for SNES. I would have never admitted it at the time though. When my Genesis owning friend got X-Men he would come over and put in Spider-Man and the X-Men just to laugh at how bad it looked in comparison. I was so jealous.

But now that I have actually played the Genesis game, I know secretly he was suffering in silence, so I feel a little vindication.
