@nilcam Stardew Valley is better than Harvest Moon. I don’t know what you don’t like about Harvest Moon, but I’ve played Harvest Moon games before and found them clunky and dull. Stardew Valley, on the other hand, I poured at least 70 hours into and I fully intend to play more someday.

I can’t imagine anybody buying a Switch just for Labo, but Labo combined with all the great games that are on/coming to the Switch will, I suspect, lead to continued great sales for the Switch.

I never played this on DS, and I preordered this version the day it was announced, back in June of last year, so I’m a little excited for this to finally come out.

Me, skipping over the byline and jumping to the article: I wonder who wrote this article.

Me, reading the line “I wrote swear words in my NES instruction booklets.”: Oh, must have been Nadia.

To the point, as a common fan of video games, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with just replaying games I know I like over and over again. But that might not be such a wise idea for a video game critic. Still, life is short, and you might as well spend the little time you have doing things you enjoy.

I’ve definitely played my Switch a lot more than my 3DS lately, but I have no intention of ever retiring my 3DS for good. I have been playing a little Kirby Triple Deluxe lately, even though I’m mostly focusing on Skyrim on the Switch. But I love replaying games, and there are too many good games on the 3DS for me to ever kick it to the curb entirely.

Between Mario Tennis Aces this year and Metroid: Samus Returns last year, I think it’s pretty clear that Nintendo is getting real good at keeping secrets. With that said, I think anyone who thinks that this Direct showcases everything Nintendo has planned for this year is crazy. Remember, this was a “mini” Direct. Like someone else said, this is pretty much just what’s coming out between now and E3. I have a feeling Nintendo’s E3 this year will be pretty spectacular. Maybe I’ll be wrong, but I’ll be shocked if I am.

I just bought this for the Wii U, like, two months ago, but oh well. I’m definitely buying it again for the Switch, cause I’ll buy just about anything if it’s on the Switch.

I find it a little baffling how so many people seem to think that because Nintendo hasn’t announced anything big for 2018, that means nothing big is coming. How many of 2017’s Switch games did we know about a year ago? Obviously we know about BOTW, but that’s about it. We knew a new Mario game was coming, but we knew nothing about it. We didn’t even know if it was coming out in 2017 or not. As for the rest, I can’t really remember, but I definitely remember having this conversation, that Nintendo didn’t have anything big in the works for the coming year. I have a feeling that the only reason we don’t really know about anything big coming for the Switch yet, is because Nintendo isn’t ready to talk about it yet.

Ah, so nice to see Xenoblade Chronicles 2 get the love it deserves. Honestly I think that might be my personal GOTY. I’ve poured a hundred hours into it so far, and I’m only about 2/3 of the way through the story, and I’ve loved every minute of it. I can see the flaws people have pointed out, but they don’t bother me at all. The Switch makes it so easy to savor a game like this. What a wonderful little console.
