Bastion and Transistor both fall into the "want to like more than I do" category for me, and this one looks even weirder. I respect the developers for putting out something so different though.

I'm not that purist about my Tolkien, but I do think it's a shame they couldn't just built their nemesis stuff in an original setting, not the contorted, basically fan-fiction LOTR these games have. The only people that really care about the setting are likely to have misgivings about it, and everyone else doesn't care.

I'd say the answer to the headline is pretty obvious.

Man talk about an underwhelming roster, and I don't even care about vs games much. Jedah and Gamora are cool, but who really wants Nemesis and Frank West to come back? I know there's probably a lot of constraints working with Marvel these days, but it crazy how poor the rollout of this game has been so far.

TWAU is easily the best Telltale game I've played in terms of setting and presentation, but I found the actual mystery underwhelming. Don't know if I'm doing for revisiting, I got tired is TT games pretty quickly.

Pretty obvious picks, but good to get them out of the way. Looking forward to this, only concern is the characters so far seem to play rather same-y (yes I know Arc frontloaded characters with more basic movesets first). Krillin is going to be a character more valuable as an assist than being on point though, so I'm interested how they plan to balance that.

@Number1Laing Yeah it does make sense from a competitive scene point of view which has always revolved around Capcom games, but as someone who just played casually I never would have guessed it was some bleak period for the genre. Yeah there was a thinning out after the 90s boom, but that was true for a lot of other genres too. And we got some of the all-time greats like Soulcalibur II, Tekken 5, Virtua Fighter 4 &5, and some of the most important editions of Guilty Gear during that time, not to mention Melee. Not to dismiss people's preferences or how Street Fighter IV brought more mainstream coverage of fighting games, but the narrative that fighting game were super obscure between the end of the 90s and 2009 has gotten overblown over the years.

Wonder what kind of numbers the turnout will be. I've been under the impression that Street Fighter isn't as dominant in Japan as it is here, not sure if that's true or not.

Gotta get a little more value out of these high quality sprites!

I'll buy anything P4 Arena, and BB and INIB are pretty sweet games too. Wouldn't of seen this, even though it seems kinda of obvious now. Hope the tag stuff pans out well, and the Persona characters still retain enough of the flavor that makes those games great.

Awesome game. Good to see xseed doing continuing with the PC ports. We need to buy these people if we are going to get the Zero/Ao Kiseki games brought over!
