Why would you have two Enemy Data plug in chips installed at the same time?

Played it in 1995 when I was 14, I used to sneak back downstairs after pretending to go to sleep so I could keep playing it until 1 or 2 am on schoolnights. Wrecked my grades, totally worth it. Best SNES RPG by a country mile.Edited February 2017 by Unknown

    Good: Zelda
Bad: "Third party support" turns out to be warmed over ports of old games
Ugly: No one gives a squirt of piss over Niagara Falls about this gimmicky shake the controller bullshit, which they have had over ten years to figure out. But hey, why not be optimistic? Maybe 2017 is the year their stupid plan will work.Edited January 2017 by Unknown

Posted in USgamer Community Question: Did Nintendo's Switch Presentation Convince You to Buy, Abstain, or Wait?

Excuse me, waiter? I’m sorry, I hate to ask this. Can I get another article from the kitchen please? This one has way too much salt on it.

Yes, what people actually mean is they want to play the four or so good games Nintendo makes every half decade without buying a Nintendo console. The idea that Nintendo has acknowledged this consumer desire but mwa ha ha HA you didn’t read the fine print LOLOLOLOL is really dumb.

I’m not going to be that jackball who says “Why doesn’t Nintendo just do x?” but I will spell it out since there seems to be a misunderstanding about why exactly people are asking for this… and it’s not because the consumer landscape is full of vindictive Sega fans that want to see Nintendo crash and burn down the same road, which this article heavily implies is the case.

It’s not just that Nintendo consoles don’t have the same games as the “other guys,” it’s that they quantitatively have fewer games period. So even if I was a Nintendo hardcore acolyte kneeled and sweating with a rosary clutched in my white knuckled fist whispering over and over and over again that I don’t even really want to play Fallout 4, Destiny, The Witcher 3, any Grand Theft Auto or Dark Souls games, Metal Gear Solid V, Rocket League, Call of Duty, Mortal Kombat, Final Fantasy XV, Dishonored, Divinity: Original Sin, Life is Strange, Battlefield, Dragon Age, Deus Ex, Resident Evil 5 or 6, Diablo, Wolfenstein, Shadow of Mordor, Alien: Isolation, South Park, Far Cry, or Bioshock… I would still have fewer games as alternatives.

Another big sticking point is that Nintendo consoles have really sucked at integrating the best parts of connectivity in the console space (e.g. no online co-op for Super Mario 3D World) but have managed to pick up all the worst parts (e.g. mandatory updates, downloads and patches).

Really, the thesis of this piece stating that Nintendo licensing Mario to a bland endless runner mobile game as some kind of whimsical trump card instead of kowtowing to market pressure is completely ridiculous. The fact that you said the mobile market has taken has taken a bite of Nintendo’s handheld share and that the iOS platform doesn’t crimp its own consoles in the same sentence is just irony icing on the cake.Edited September 2016 by Unknown

Nah man you're overthinking it. They wrote that on there to generate buzz around a piece of released concept art. And it worked, cause you just wrote a whole article about it

I was really impressed with the card themed Retronauts covers, actually. I don't think the linework was soulless at all, and there was some real intricate color depth and gradation, especially for being manually splashed on paper. A whole deck of those is a nugget of a marketable idea if there ever was one. If that pesky copyright infringement wasn't in the way, at least.

The first page isn't loading correctly for me, I'm on mobile. Android. Anyone else having this issue? It's the which/how often game sites do you visit question specifically, the buttons to select aren't showing up.

I have to cop to being slightly annoyed that there's 'no time' to discuss the Prime trilogy & Other M when the games in this episode have been talked about already (a lot) on this podcast and its spinoff blogs. Other than that it was a nice retour of some design details of earlier Metroid titles. And it's always good to catch up with Jose.
