Awesome interview. I guess I figured that the release date (possible) had to have been around the sweet spot of the PSP on the decline and the PS Vita on the rise. I wouldn't want to put my game on a declining console either and risk it bombing not on the game itself, but because there was no push for the PSP anymore. So that made smart business sense.

I'm glad they haven't completely shelved it and has made verbal commitments that it will be localized. I have to imagine though if you are going to dedicate a localization team, it's going to have an overseas release date. You have to see a return on your investment. I will get the game because it looked really good. I'll get it Day 1 for sure.

Yeah, I just can't support this. I don't want to endlessly sit at a computer for yet another F2PRPG. Just make me pay $20, give me a damn good experience and I'll call it a day.

When it's kickstarter meets its goal within one day, it just shows Capcom and the rest of the world that Megaman is still beloved and will support an honest attempt to put out another full fledged game.

I just hope it meets its console goal of $2.5 million. I would love to play it on my ps3. Or hopefully my ps4.

@Captain Gonru I know what you are saying and yeah. It's basically gonna be like which hardware and deals you like more. I don't see the exclusive rout being as important as last gen

If that interface is as fast as it was shown yesterday, then Sony has done a good thing. The PS3 wasn't a bad machine, it was just a lot of small things that added up to a lot of people groaning about it. The PSN Store GUI and it's lagfest was one of them. And the Godawful XMB was there too.

@Captain Gonru the ability to port from PC to console (and visa versa) has gone through leaps and bounds since the previous generation. So I think exclusives won't mean as much. I guess it will just matter more on indie development and what piece of hardware do you feel most comfortable with. I know Sony has a strong legacy with RPGs (eastern) and it's my favorite genre, so I sticks with them. Even though KH3 and FFXV has a multiplat release announcement.

@Pombar valid point, ya know. I only see TRPGs coming from the East so I put them in that category as well.

@Pombar lolz no. Nippon Ichi Software develops almost exclusively for the PS3 (There was Disgaea DS. That alone based on numbers would give PS3 the edge. From Namco (Tales series) there was only one X360 game (Vesperia) and that wasn't even an exclusive well in America it was. But the PS3 has 3 Tales exclusives.

Xbox 360 will never be a jrpg machine before the PS3
