I'm not arguing that Nintendo 3DS was the most successful platform, but it should get some love considering how many people (myself included) assumed that the little handheld would become irrelevant after Switch. 3DS had a decent selection of releases, including Dragon Quest 8, Metroid: Samus Returns, and Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. Perhaps a few too many ports and remakes (including the three titles I just mentioned), but 3DS somehow became the little handheld that could, trudging forward despite declining support and aging technology.Edited 4 weeks ago by Unknown

Yeah, Skyrim is pretty entertaining when you're not fighting. Seriously, I hate Skyrim's combat so much, and it's what kept me from completing the game. Other than that, Skyrim is quite the game. I've thought about re-purchasing it on Switch, but then I'm reminded of combat and decide otherwise.

@Ralek Best case scenario, Intelligent Systems revamps marriage and children units because they're not going anywhere. And I'm okay with that because I'd rather they experiment with those features instead of scrapping 'em entirely. Regardless, they need work. Fates' rational for the children units was, at best, absurd. Actually, quite a bit about Fates felt absurd.

@sfalletta How did you spend $200 on Fates? Even with DLC, it's hard to imagine the price getting so high.

    3. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - I'm not as crazy with this one as I was the Wii U version, but I'm still enjoying it. I only wish they added at least a few new tracks, although I greately appreciate battle mode.

    2. Picross 3D: Round 2 - I've been slowly carving away at this one (har har har) before bed most nights. I'm nearing the end, I think, because no additional puzzles are appearing, but I hope to "perfect" ones I made mistakes on, so I don't imagine I will drop this one anytime soon.

    1. Persona 5 - I finished this one last week, almost exactly three weeks after it arrived, but I'm itching to start New Game Plus to run through everyone's Social Links (or whatever P5 calls them). The only thing stopping me is that I don't want to deal with the tutorials. First time through, I don't mind. After having just beaten the stinkin' game? Get out of my face.

I'd be all for another music game, but another Persona Q would be awesome.Edited April 2017 by Unknown

@lonecow Heart is more symbolic (they're stealing the object at the center of the person's heart, you could say), but it sounds like you'd prefer a more literal phrasing.

I only found Conquest terribly difficult on the tenth chapter (which almost caused me to destroy my 3DS), so playing on Classic wasn't a huge bother. I even found the final two chapters less difficult than the final chapters in Birthright, surprisingly.

It should prove interesting to see the reception that this rewind mechanic gets, and whether it'll reappear in Fire Emblem on Switch. Avoiding an hour (or more) of lost progress because a character died isn't a bad thing, but because this rewind thing is limited (and I haven't looked up how limited), the threat of permadeath still exists for those (such as myself) who want it.
