This is a great move. The only issue I have is that it will cost $39.99 to buy the 2 expansions when right now the SC2 Battle chest is $34.99 on battle.net right now. This makes the complete package more expensive not less, regardless of the base game being free.

I understand the reasoning for triple A studios to pivot towards a games-as-service model, but they will see the market dominated by a few juggernaut IPs as everyone else is left chasing the white whale.

Luckily, there will always be a market for story-driven single player games. This section of the market may become dominated by Japanese developers that work under the constraints of a smaller budget and indie developers. One unintended consequence of the push towards games-as-service may be the exodus of talent from triple AAA development teams to indie projects that give creators the freedom of expression and satisfaction they may not get from working at the larger studios.Edited 2 times. I think it will be interesting to see what new features will be implemented on the forthcoming Virtual Console. Nintendo can not just continue the pattern of dumping ports on the eshop and expect people to continue to buy their classic games

I turned on subtitles and have not dealt with lag and voices tracks dropping since. Please post if anyone tries this and gets the same result. I didn't see anything online about a patch being released so who knows, maybe I've become conditioned to ignore the lag and my mind is playing tricks on me.

Fair article. I’ve dealt with all the same issues on the PS4 and Switch. 2k has been quick to respond to the ticket I opened with 2K tech support. I expect them to compensate players with a pot of VC, which is nice. I’d rather they realize their need to keep tracking each player’s VC transactions is the root issue and they correct this in 2k19 but I doubt it based on all the level 90 characters I see moving into my neighborhoodEdited September 2017 by Unknown

You are the one complaining about how Campo Santo used DMCA not me, so you should learn to deal with it because it is very presumptuous to tell a developer how they should or should not apply DMCA to protect their intellectual property.Edited September 2017 by Unknown

@Roto13 what you shouldn't approve of is your melodramatic use of the word 'abuse'

Tiger-Heli on the NES. Busted my ass delivering papers to save for a game and needed to leave my local toy store with a game or I would die!!!! Tiger-Heli was a good arcade shoot 'me up but after playing Metroid and Kid Icarus I wanted something deeper than the continuous gameplay loop arcade ports offered

I appreciate your view but I think DMCA's are always used as a weapon; a defensive weapon to protect a person's or company's intellectual property. I see Campo Santo's action as bold. It's easy for a developer to put blinders on as they strive to squeeze as much profit from their game. Campo Santo took a moral stand that will splinter the market for their products. By using DMCA instead of sending a letter asking this specific Youtuber to discontinue streaming their games, they are establishing a clear precedent that all streamers will understand. A clear line that Campo Santo will not allow to be crossed with anyone that wants to profit from using their games to create content. I applaud their strong stance.
