Fortnite: Greasy Grove Treasure Map Location

How to track down the treasure in the Greasy Grove treasure map challenge, as part of Fortnite's Week 5 Challenge slate.

'Follow the treasure map found in Greasy Grove' is one of the harder Fortnite Week 5 Challenges, as you'll have to work out the hidden final location of the buried treasure on the map. In this Fortnite Greasy Grove treasure map guide however, we'll be walking you through to the final location of the buried treasure for the week 5 challenge, so you know where to go as soon as you hop out of the Battle Bus as the beginning of the game.

These Week 5 Challenges are part of the current seasonal event in Fortnite Battle Royale, and for everything else you need to know about the event, you should head over to our Fortnite Season 4 guides hub. It’s here that you’ll find all the information on various new challenges, as well as new character skins you can unlock through the Battle Pass.

Fortnite Greasy Grove Treasure Map Challenge

For the full walkthrough of how to complete all six other challenges this week, check out our Fortnite Week 5 Challenges guide. The Greasy Grove treasure map challenge is just one of seven total tasks, and you’ll bring yourself one step closer to the Hidden Challenge of the week by completing it.

Fortnite Battle Royale veterans will by now know that you don’t even need to find the treasure map in Greasy Grove-you simply need to know where to head to uncover the treasure. To skip finding the treasure map within Greasy Grove itself, you’ll want to point yourself towards Snobby Shores when you jump out of the Battle Bus at the beginning of the match.

You don’t actually need to go all the way to Snobby Shores, for you’re actually aiming for the mountain just north east of Snobby Shores. You’ll find the Bronze Star treasure located on a set of stairs, facing directly towards Snobby Shores, and located right in between two windows. The entire side of the mountain looks a bit like a face, and if you think of it that way, the treasure is located on the nose of the face.

Keep in mind that as always, you’ll need to hold down square or X to collect the treasure star when it appears, and you’ll then need to finish Battle Royale match for it to actually count. Even if you die straight afterwards, you can’t find the treasure and then quit back to the lobby, as this won’t count the challenge as complete.

Once you have made it back to the lobby after collecting the treasure and finishing the Battle Royale match, you’ll be rewarded with ten total Bronze Stars for your effort.

We might be all wrapped up with this guide on how to complete the treasure map objective in Greasy Grove in the Fortnite Week 5 Challenges, but we’ve got plenty more guides on the game here.
