Destiny 2 Moon Heroic Public Events - How to Trigger Heroic Events on the Moon

Here's our guide on how to complete the Heroic Public Events on the Moon in Destiny 2 Shadowkeep, including the Arsenal Walker and Warsat Down events.

In the new Shadowkeep expansion for Destiny 2, you'll come across a fair few Public Events set on the new hub area on the Moon. In this Destiny 2 Moon Heroic Public Events guide, we'll be walking you through how to trigger the Heroic version of all the Warsat Down and Arsenal Walker Public Events, as easily as possible.

Destiny 2 Moon Heroic Public Events

Yeah, Moon's haunted. In the storyline for the Shadowkeep expansion in Destiny 2, Eris Morn will task you with completing several Public Events on the new Moon area in the game. Just below, we'll provide you with a quick list of how to trigger the Heroic version of the Warsat Down Public Events.

  • Initiate the defense of the Warsat.
  • Defeat the two sets of two Hive Wizards.
  • Defeat the Shrieker that appears with each pair of Wizards.
  • Defeat every Hive Knight enemy with a yellow health bar.
  • Defeat the Ogre to complete the Heroic Public Event.

This is how you can activate the Heroic version of the Warsat Down Public Event on the Moon. Veterans of Destiny 2 will no doubt know by now how these Public Events work: you scan the Warsat, you defend it until the progress bar finishes, and you complete your reward.

With the Heroic versions of these Public Events on the Moon, you want to take care not to complete the progress bar of defending the Warsat. Instead, just stand outside of the circle near the Warsat itself, and complete the simple instructions that we've listed above.

When you trigger the Heroic Public Event, an elite Hive Ogre will appear. This is actually a pretty tough final boss for the event, and you'll want to save your Power ammo and Supers to finish this boss off quick.

How to Trigger Arsenal Walker Moon Heroic Public Event

Alternatively, you could be going up against the Arsenal Walker Public Event on the Moon. If this is the case, follow the steps listed below to trigger the Heroic Arsenal Walker Public Event:

  • Damage the legs of the Walker until it falls down.
  • Pick up the three orbs, deposit them in any of the six generators.
  • Repeat the entire process again.
  • Once orbs are deposited in all six generators, defeat the second Arsenal Walker.

When you've deposited six total orbs from the first Arsenal Walker in the six generators, the Heroic version of this Public Event will activate. All you need to do now is defeat both the first Arsenal Walker, as well as the second, more powerful Arsenal Walker, in order to complete the event.
