Call of Duty WW2 Days of Summer Event
With the next game well and truly in sight, Activision is giving Call of Duty WW2 the send off that it deserves. Some awesome new content is on its way, which will be added during the Days of Summer Event. The event started on July 31, and will run right up until August 28. New maps, weapons and gear will be steadily rolled out over the course of the event, here’s everything you need to know.
Call of Duty WW2 Days of Summer Event - New weapons
As part of the Days of Summer Event, Sledgehammer Games is adding three new weapons into Call of Duty WW2. They’re mostly variations on existing weapons, but are still pretty cool nonetheless. Here’s every new weapon being added into Call of Duty WW2:
The Ribeyrolles is a brand new SMG that thrives in mid-range engagements. It features a unique design, with an awesome blue casing and bright red clip.
Another new weapon being added into Call of Duty WW2 as part of the Days of Summer Community Event is the 3-Line Rifle. The 3-Line Rifle is a bolt-action sniper rifle that offers a fair one shot kill zone.
The final weapon being added into Call of Duty WW2 as part of the Days of Summer Community Event is the Automaton. The Automaton is an automatic rifle with a steady fire rate, and is deadly at mid to long range engagements.
Call of Duty WW2 Days of Summer Event - Sandbox Map
A new map has been added to Call of Duty WW2. The Sandbox map lets players play as toy soldiers in a sandbox. Captain Butcher watches over the proceedings, magnifying glass in hand, ready to set the battlefield ablaze. There’s giant blocks, beach toys, and an emphasis on chaos, as players fight for control of the new map. It’s available now for PS4 players but unfortunately, Xbox One and PC players will have to wait 30 days until they can play it. This will be after August 28, when it will be opened up to the whole playerbase, regardless of platforms.

As part of the new event, you can team up with players around the globe to complete a community challenge. It needs to be completed before days of Summer ends on August 28.
