Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Black Market
A brand new store and progression system were just added into Call of Duty Black Ops 4. It’s all collected under the Black Ops 4 Black Market banner, and can be a little complicated to get your head around at first. We’ve pulled together everything you need to know below.
Black Ops 4 Black Market Tiers - Contraband Stream, Earn Free Skins, Emotes and Tags
Black market allows players to earn new cosmetic items by playing the game. There are multiple tiers to reach, and all you need to do is play matches and earn XP. Items are awarded after each new level is reached. The Contraband Stream is the name given to this progression system, and can now be accessed via the main menu. Skins, emotes and tags are all up for grabs, so get out there and start earning.
Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Halloween Event
Treyarch will be adding seasonal content via new Black Market streams throughout the year. The current event is the Black Ops 4 Halloween Event. It is a separate progression stream, offering up spooky skins and Halloween-themed content. It’s available now until just after Halloween, so be sure to get involved.
When Will Black Market Release on Xbox One and PC?
As part of Sony’s exclusivity deal with Activision this gen, all Black Ops 4 post-release content will be PS4-exclusive for a full week before coming to other platforms. As such, the Black Ops 4 Black Market won’t be arriving on Xbox One and PC until October 26.
Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Blackjack’s Shop
On top of the Black Market progression system, there will be another storefront added to Call of Duty Black Ops 4 very soon indeed. It’ll be called Blackjack’s Shop, and will allow users to get direct access of certain gear items through a store. The store will refresh weekly. It is likely that this will be where CoD Points will finally come into play. CoD Points are definitely a thing in Black Ops 4, as evidenced by certain pre-order bonuses, but have been yet to be implemented into the game. We’re betting that players will be able to use CoD Points to buy certain items in Blackjack’s Shop, though we haven’t been able to confirm it yet. Blackjack’s Shop won’t launch in CoD Black Ops 4 until sometime in November.
