In this Black Ops 4 Zombies IX Pack-a-Punch guide, we'll be walking you through unlocking the weapons upgrade machine on the IX map as easily as possible from when you start the map.

If you instead need anything else to do with the Zombies mode in this Call of Duty, you’ll want to head over to our Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Zombies guide. It’s on this page that you can find all the information on every single Zombies map in the game, including the unique Classified Zombies map, available only through the Black Ops Pass.

How to Unlock the Pack-a-Punch Machine on the Black Ops 4 Zombies IX Map

Unlocking the Pack-a-Punch upgrade machine for th IX map in Black Ops 4 Zombies is no easy feat. Firstly, you’ll need to unlock all four subsections of the map, where you can find a gong at the tallest point in each tower. Once you’ve rung any of the four gongs, a powerful champion will appear.

Your job is to defeat this champion, as quickly as possible, and then pick up the glowing skull that they drop when they die. Now, you need to head to the underground area of the subsection of the map in which you killed the boss, and place the skull on an altar. Once you’ve place four skulls on each altar in each subsection the map, the Pack-a-Punch machine will rise up out of the ground, and is yours to use.

Once you’ve eventually unlocked the Pack-a-Punch machine on the IX map in Call of Duty Black Ops 4, you’re going to have to shell out 5000 points if you want to upgrade a weapon. This might not be a small price to pay, but once you’ve upgraded a weapon in Black Ops 4’s Zombies mode, it has increased damage, fire rate, and ammo reserves, so you can maximise the zombie slaying.
