As is customary now in Overwatch, the Lunar New Year Event has now returned with the Year of the Dog, bringing along with it a load of new Overwatch skins. Overwatch Year of the Dog Event Start Date and End Date
Back in 2017, the Chinese Year of the Rooster, the Overwatch event celebrating the new Lunar Year kicked off on January 24, a few days after the actually beginning of the Chinese New Year. This time however, the Chinese New Year 2018 (which is the Year of the Dog) didn't begin until February 16.
The Overwatch Year of the Dog event is scheduled to conclude today, on March 5, bringing to a close the limited Lunar New Year event. This is your last chance to get hold of some of the new Legendary skins to celebrate the Year of the Dog, until they pop up again in 2019.
The developer update video just below was posted by Blizzard on February 7, the day before the Lunar New Year event was scheduled to begin. Director Jeff Kaplan reveals the brand new Thailand map featured in the event, as well as detailing six new Legendary skins for various characters.
Overwatch Lunar New Year, Year of the Dog Skins

One thing to keep in mind is that while any new Overwatch character skins introduced through the Lunar New Year 2018 event will only be found through loot boxes, the skins that were released alongside the event in 2017 should be purchasable with standard in-game currency. If the second Overwatch Halloween Terror event last year was any indicator, old skins making a return to the game should be obtainable for 3,000 in-game Overwatch coins.
However the Lunar New Year, Year of the Dog event isn't the only thing that will be making a return to Overwatch in February 2018, as Blizzard also revealed that the PvE Uprising mode will be making a comeback at some unspecified point in the future. There's also a planned celebration for the Overwatch anniversary in May 2018, just like there was at the same time last year.

From 3 pm PST on February 19, Blizzard will be streaming the Year of the Dog Puppy Rumble. It's not exactly clear what the event is, but it seems to be dog show of sorts, with the pups dressed as Overwatch characters. Doesn't that sound adorable?
