Destiny 2 Imperial Treasure Map Locations - How to Find the Io, Mars, Nessus Locations

Here's our guide to all the various Destiny 2 Imperial Treasure Map locations, scattered around Io, Nessus, and Mars.

With the Season of Opulence update for Destiny 2, a brand new treasure hunt activity was introduced. These are known as the Imperial Treasure Maps, each of which offers some prized loot items. In our Destiny 2 Imperial Treasure Maps guide, we'll be listing out all of the Destiny 2 Imperial Treasure Map locations that we've discovered at various locations in the game.

Destiny 2 Imperial Treasure Map Locations

In the new Season of Opulence for Destiny 2, you'll be able to take on some new Pursuits from Werner 99-40, the new vendor on Nessus. But when you complete these Weekly Bounties from Werner, they won't reward you with items. Instead, they'll give you a vague location to go to on a planet to receive your actual reward. Use the list below to head straight to the individual Imperial Treasure Map locations.

Well of Flames Imperial Treasure Map Location

This one is easy to find, and it comes as part of the introductory quest line for Werner 99-40. All you need to do is head to the Well of Flames map marker on Nessus. Now simply work your way up the circular structure jutting out from the ground.

Eventually, you'll reach a triangle shaped hole in the rock that you can easily slip through. In this cavern, there's a huge role in the ground that you can drop down. At the bottom of this hole turn around, and the chest will be right there for you to claim.

Io Imperial Treasure Map Location

Now this is a tricky one to find. Stand at the map point that we've marked below on Io, and you'll see that there's a gap in the cliff that you can go down. You need to head all the way to the end of this cavern, where you'll find some Taken enemies to fight.

Once you've defeated all the Taken, scan the small cavern. You shouldn't have any trouble finding the Imperial Treasure Map reward chest here, which grants you with XP, an item, and currency to use on the Chalice.

Mars Imperial Treasure Map Location

For this Imperial Treasure Map location on Mars, you're going to need your Sparrow. From the main landing zone near Ana Bray, head all the way around on the map to the Alton Dynamo area. You'll know you're going in the right direction when you reach the Alton Approach area.

When you're in the room picture below, you need to head through the door that you'd normally open in the Will of the Thousands Strike. After you've opened this door you'll come to a T junction, where you need to turn right.

You'll now be in the server room, pictured below. Once you've dealt with the Knight and Hive that rush you, head to the left of the area, in the direction we're facing below, to find the Imperial Treasure Map chest.

Right now, these are all the Destiny 2 Imperial Treasure Maps you can find. However as Werner 99-40 introduces new weekly bounties for you, there are bound to be more chests to track down in the future.
