In this Madden 18 Ultimate Team guide, we'll be running over the completely new Team Leaders players, which EA has recently released into the wild. We'll explain all about the brand new Team Leader players and solo challenges just below, as well as outlining the best Team Leader players you should probably be going after.

Madden 18 Team Leaders Guide

So, how do you get your hands on one of the five MUT Team Leader players from each team? Well, every single NFL team has a 16-game solo challenge sequence, with Team Chemistry requirements increasing the deeper into the 16 games you go.

By the time you get to the last 4 games of each team’s sequence, you'll need 12 total players from that team to pass through the final Team Chemistry barrier. When you eventually reach the end of the 16-game solo challenge sequence for one team, you'll be able to open a Fantasy Pack, where you can choose one of five Team Leader players to keep.

Madden 18 Best Team Leader Players

There are some strange absences from almost every team above, namely high-ranking QBs from teams like the Patriots, Raiders, and Packers. It appears as though the Team Leader players aren't the best players on the team, or even the most notable, but are instead the ones who will be in the starting lineup in week 1 of the 2017/18 NFL Season.

As such, we'd say that most of the better Team Leader players are on the defensive side of the ball, instead of on offense. Highly regarded players like Brian Cushing, Robert Quinn, Clay Matthews, and Haloti Ngata would instantly provide a nice boost to your MUT Team, no matter the players you've already got in your starting lineup.

Should you need anything else on Madden 18's Ultimate Team mode, head over to our Madden 18 MUT Squads guide, or our guide to the best MUT offensive players.
