There’s a lot to manage, from security, to entertaining guests, with the threat of a dinosaur outbreak constantly in the background. There's five additional island areas after you’ve gotten to grips with the starting area of Isla Matanceros, and we’ve gathered all of the details on each one. Jurassic World Evolution Islands Guide - Every Island Detailed

Jurassic World features six islands including the starting area. Each one is slightly different than the others, with a different collection of dinosaurs, its own unique weather, and more. Given that there is no day/night cycle in the game, each island is also set during a different time of day. We’ve gathered all of the details on each island, including a few tips on how to get started on each one, as well as a description of what you can expect in terms of weather and size.

Jurassic World Evolution Isla Matanceros

Isla Matanceros is the first island available to you in Jurassic World Evolution. It is a fairly simply area, with calm weather and very little in the way of challenges. Thanks to the tutorial section, you’ll likely breeze through the initial set-up of this island. There are 35 dinosaur species to play around with, and a distinct, jungle-themed environment filled with green areas and forests

Jurassic World Evolution Isla Tacano

Isla Tacano is one of the most challenging areas in the game. It starts the player off in debt, and offers very little help in the way of getting started. A useful tip is to start a bunch of expensive expeditions in another map, then sell some of the building on Isla Tacano to build a Fossil center. Once the fossil center is built on Isla Tacano, you’ll be able to sell the resources gathered by the expeditions you started on other maps. Once you’ve gotten set up, you can start enjoying the exotic, tropical setting the island provides. There are 60 dinosaur species to create here, so there’s plenty to keep you busy.

Jurassic World Evolution Isla Muerta

Isla Muerta offers a more challenging environment when compared to the starting area. The island is ravaged by storms, and tornadoes will regularly appear to mess things up. Monorail tracks can be established here, and you’ll need to do so to access certain areas. You’ll want to make sure you focus on security here, given how the unpredictable weather often gives rise to more dinosaur outbreaks than usual.

Jurassic World Evolution Isla Sorna

Isla Sorna has a very storied history in the Jurassic Park universe. It’s where all dinosaurs were originally created and nurtured, and is home to the fearsome Spinosaurus. In Jurassic World Evolution, it’s just as formidable, presenting regular natural disasters. It does offer a much larger area when compared to the other islands though, and therefore has the most potential for profit. You’ll have to have a pretty robust security to deal with the constant calamities, but you should mostly be focusing on milking your guests dry. Build large enclosures with plenty of viewing galleries, and make use of the islands array of carnivorous dinosaur species.

Jurassic World Isla Pena

Isla Pena is most notable because of its small size and the fact that it is always night time. The small size means that there isn’t much space to build, but there are great opportunities to breed new dinosaurs. Just beware that Isla Pena suffers frequent storms, and tranquilizing escaped dinosaurs is a lot harder at night.

Jurassic World Evolution Isla Nublar

Isla Nublar is where it all began. It’s the setting of the original Jurassic Park movie, and as such, is filled with a ton of Easter Eggs that we won’t spoil here. It’s also a sandbox mode of sorts, offering the player unlimited money. You can practise everything you need to succeed in the game here, and build whatever you please.
