Death Stranding Memory Chip Locations - Where to Find Memory Chips
Here's where to find various Memory Chip locations in Death Stranding.
There are plenty of Memory Chips scattered throughout the open world of Death Stranding. Every one can unlock neat little collectibles, like album covers or artwork. In our Death Stranding Memory Chips guide, we'll be walking you through where to find all the Memory Chips we've found so far, in both the eastern and central regions of the game.
Death Stranding Memory Chip Locations
Memory Chips act as a form of collectible in Death Stranding. When you're out exploring the open world, you'll happen upon the chips in the wilderness, which you can then take back to a delivery terminal, and unlock, seeing the collectible that they reward. While we'll get onto what each chip unlocks further down the guide, you can see the locations for each corresponding Memory Chip number just below.
Memory Chip Rewards
As we mentioned above, you won't obtain the collectible rewards as soon as you discover any of the Memory Chips listed above. After you've found a chip, take it back to the nearest delivery terminal that's connected to the Chiral Network, be it a Prepper Station, Waystation, Distribution Center, or City.
Interact with the delivery terminal, and select 'Share Memory Chip Data' within the 'Make Delivery' menu option. You'll now see a brief cinematic where Sam hands over the Memory Chip, and either Heartman, Deadman, Mama, or Die-Hardman will congratulate you on recovering the chip.
You'll now obtain the collectible that was linked to the Memory Chip that you recovered. So for example if you recovered Memory Chip number one, you'll have obtained the 'Frame Arms: Byakko' collectible when you enter the chip at a delivery terminal.
To see your current collectibles in Death Stranding, bring up your cuff links by pressing 'Options.' Then press left on the d-pad, and scroll down to the 'Data' option. In this menu, you can then select 'Memory Chips' to see all the collectibles that you've obtained so far, and which ones you've still got left to track down.
