The Best Moments in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

These are our very favorite moments from Breath of the Wild, featuring moments like building your own settlement, taking down a Lynel, and visiting the Temple of Time.

Buried within this post are the very best moments from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a monumental game that truly lets the player loose in the massive open world of Hyrule, challenging them to push boundaries and limits in order to rescue Princess Zelda from the clutches of Calamity Ganon.

As soon as you’re let loose into the massive open world of Hyrule for the first time, Link can go in any direction he pleases, meeting a variety of strange and intriguing characters and creatures along the way. Breath of the Wild is meant to be undertaken however the player wishes, and so there are loads of amazing moments that are unique to every player.

We’ve rounded up our very best moments from Breath of the Wild, putting them all into this gigantic post, but be warned that we will be delving into moments from the story in Breath of the Wild, so you can expect spoilers from here.

These moments aim to not only reflect the best that Breath of the Wild has to offer as a game, but also the unique experiences it offers every player. There are a multitude of events in the game that the majority of player may not even have experienced, and I didn’t even know that it was possible to build a settlement in Hyrule until I began writing this piece.

Like me, you might even discover things that you never even knew existed in Breath of the Wild, through this article. There are secrets hidden in every corner of Hyrule, as Nintendo have truly gone to great lengths to ensure that you can explore Hyrule for hundreds of hours, and not necessarily uncover everything that the game has to offer.

The Best Moments in Breath of the Wild

We’ve aimed to combine a varied list of experiences with the game, not focussing purely on one area, for example combat or Shrines. There are a variety of activities to undertake throughout Breath of the Wild, and as such we’ve aimed to include experiences of exploration, discovery, and weird little details within the game.

As we previously mentioned, there’s no need to worry about the game being spoiled for you here, as although some of Breath of the Wild’s best moments happen within the story, we’ve focussed on other areas to avoid spoiling the main story of the game, in case you’re still considering whether to pick it up. Should you need help deciding this, why not check out our 5/5 review of the game, in which we stated that while pulling from the past, Breath of the Wild doesn’t rely too much on any one game for influences.

In case you need help with any particularly tough challenges in Breath of the Wild, then make sure to head over to our Breath of the Wild guides hub page, featuring articles on everything, from taking down Calamity Ganon, to how to cook and ride a horse.

If you feel as though we’ve missed any of your favorite moments in Breath of the Wild, then why not leave your best personal memories with the game in the comments below.
