CoD Black Ops 4 Scorestreaks

Thanks to our time with the game so far, we now know the killstreaks that feature in CoD Black Ops 4. We received a ton of info via a tweet on the game's Twitter account, showing off some of the Scorestreaks in the run up to the CoD Black Ops 4 Multiplayer beta.

The embedded trailer highlighted several Scorestreaks, many of which are series classics, returning from earlier Black Ops games. Let's breakdown each one.

CoD Black Ops 4 Scorestreaks - UAV

The OG Scorestreak, the UAV highlights enemies on your map. It's always been a massively useful scorestreak to use, and Black Ops 4 is no exception.

CoD Black Ops 4 Scorestreaks - RC-XD RC Car

The RC Car is making a return as a Scorestreak in CoD Black Ops 4. Specifically, it is the RC-XD model which first appeared back in the first Black Ops game. It's a far cry from the floating drone that was offered up in CoD Black Ops 3, further proving that Treyarch is going for a more grounded style of combat this time around.

CoD Black Ops 4 Scorestreaks - Hellstorm Missile

Another Scorestreak coming back for Black Ops 4 is the Hellfire Guided Missile. It's manually guided by the player, and solidified itself as a serious force to reckoned with in both Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 3.

CoD Black Ops 4 Scorestreaks - Gunship

Another series staple, the gunship, will be available in CoD Black Ops 4. You'll be able to fire from the air, aided by thermal imaging. Multiple firing modes are available, and flares as well.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Scorestreaks - Care Package

Another series staple is the Care Package. Triggering a Care Package will drop a package onto the battlefield. that Care Package contains a random Scorestreak, here's hoping for a Gunship.

CoD Black Ops 4 Scorestreaks - Counter UAV

For every UAV, there's a Counter UAV just waiting to take it down. The Counter UAV cancels out the enemies UAV, making it especially useful in Hardpoint matches.

CoD Black Ops 4 Scorestreaks - Attack Chopper

Just like in previous games, you can call in an attack helicopter. It will automatically patrol the battlefield and take out the enemy.

CoD Black Ops 4 Scorestreaks - Lightning Strike

The Lightning Strike launches a targeted airstrike on three locations, incredibly useful in Domination.

CoD Black Ops 4 Scorestreaks - Mantis

Another Scorestreak glimpsed in the new trailer is the Mantis Walker. It is an automated drone that packs some serious firepower. We don't know a lot about it yet, but we'll be sure to keep you updated.

CoD Black Ops 4 Scorestreaks - Strike Team

From what we've seen so far, the Strike team Scorestreak drops two AI-controlled soldiers onto the battlefield, who then proceed to hunt down enemy players.

CoD Black Ops 4 Scorestreaks - Sentry

Players will be able to lay down automatic turrets in Black Ops 4. They will continue firing for a short time, and are incredibly useful when defending checkpoints.

CoD Black Ops 4 Scorestreaks - Strafe Run

Another Scorestreak that we can make out in the trailer is a Strafe Run. It will operate in the same way it has in previous games, laying down Heavy Machine Gun and Rocket Fire.

How to Use Scorestreaks in Call of Duty Black Ops 4

Now that you know all of the Scorestreaks and their costs in Black Ops 4, let's take a look at how to actually use them. First you'll need to customize your Scorestreak loadout to contain the ones you want to use. You can do this in the Create a Class menu. Now you'll need to rack up points. In previous games, scorestreaks were referred to as killstreaks. Lately though, Call of Duty has been more points and score focused than on kills alone. Rack up your score to unlock your scorestreaks, which you'll be able to see on the right of the screen. Once you've unlocked a Scorestreak, you don't have to use it immediately. They will stack as you unlock them, and you can cycle between them with up and down directional buttons. Once you've selected them, hold triangle to trigger it.
