Madden 20 Release Date - How to Play Madden 20 EA Access

Madden 20 Release Date - How to Play Madden 20 EA Access

This is our guide to the final Madden 20 release date, as well as how to play early through various special editions.

Madden 20 has now officially launched for everyone, coming out of EA and Origin Access for those with the standard edition of the game. In this complete guide to EA's latest iteration of their football sim, we'll be going over all the details you need to know surrounding the final release date of Madden 20.

Madden 20 Release Date

The Madden 20 release date is August 2, 2019. Note that as usual with EA's games, this final Madden 20 release date comes after the trial period for the game, which as always will be available through EA Access and Origin Access (more on those below).

This Madden 20 release date is not just for PS4 and Xbox One, but PC as well. Last year was the first time a Madden game released on the PC, but EA is bringing Madden 20 to the platform once again.

Madden 20 EA Access

Although the final Madden 20 release date isn't until next week in August, you can play the game right now in a special early access period. If you're an EA Access subscriber on either PS4 or Xbox One, you can download the full game right now, although you'll only be able to play for 10 hours before your limited trial of Madden 20 expires.

Alternatively, if you're an Origin Access subscriber on PC, you can also play Madden 20 for a 10 hour trial. It's important to remember that any time the game app is open on your console or PC counts towards your total time played, so make sure to use your time with Madden 20 in EA Access wisely.

Madden 20 Beta

There was an incredibly limited Madden 20 beta in June, but it's unfortunately now over. Very few people got a chance to access the beta, given that the only way to get a code was through grabbing one as soon as a developer tweeted it out. On top of this, players who did have access weren't allowed to write or broadcast their opinions or gameplay from the Madden 20 beta, so don't expect to hear impressions anywhere online.

Madden 20 Special Editions

We know the Madden 20 release date, but what about the various editions of the game? There's always methods to play before the final Madden 20 release date, and the special editions of the game below highlight two early access periods.

  • Madden 20 Superstar Edition ($80) - This upgraded edition lets you play Madden 20 from July 30, three days early, and also contains 12 Gold Team Ultimate packs, and one Training item.
  • Madden 20 Ultimate Superstar Edition ($100) - Also releasing Madden 20 on July 30, the most pricey edition on offer includes one QB Legend for your Ultimate Team, 16 Gold packs, one Core Elite player from any team, and one Training item.
