Peach Super Smash Bros Ultimate Guide - Unlock, Moves, Changes, Peach Alternate Costumes, Final Smash
Super Smash Bros Ultimate Full Character Roster, plus guides on every fighter in the game, covering changes, moves and alternate outfits.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate is set to bring the largest roster we’ve seen in the series yet. It will feature every fighter from all previous Smash Bros games, as well as some new characters like Ridley and Inkling. With all of those characters to choose from, we figured we’d put together a guide on each, highlighting what’s changed since their last appearance, what the final smash is this time around, and what to expect in terms of alternate costumes. In this Super Smash Bros Ultimate Peach Character Guide, we’ll take a look at everyone’s favorite Nintendo princess, and give you all of the details we know so far about her, including the Peach Moves set and alternative costumes.
For more on every single fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, head over to our Super Smash Bros Ultimate Characters Guide. You'll find an ever-growing list of guides on all of the characters in the game, so keep checking back in to see if your favorite fighter has been covered yet.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Peach Guide

In this guide we’ll breakdown all of the changes since Super Smash Bros. on Wii U, and give you all the info we have on Peach as a fighter.

How to Unlock Peach in Super Smash Bros Ultimate
Unlike previous Smash games, fighters are unlocked in the same way for all, rather than character-specific challenges. This means that while it can be a bit of a grind, all you need to do is play the game naturally and you’ll eventually unlock all of the characters in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. We’ve listed the three ways you can unlock characters in Super Smash Bros Ultimate below:
- Playing the World of Light single-player mode.
- Completing Classic Mode with a character.
- Playing the ‘Challenger Approaches’ fights that appear regularly, you will need to win them.
The fastest method involves triggering the Challenger Fights by reloading the game regularly. We’ve listed the method below:
- Quit to the home screen and Restart the game.
- Create a match with a custom rule set.
- Make sure the match is 1 minute long, or 1 stock if you'd prefer.
- After finishing the match (you can win or lose) you will offered a new Challenger Fight.
- You'll need to win the Challenger fight
- Repeat.

Peach Changes in Super Smash Bros Ultimate
Peach has seen a few minor changes since her last appearance, mostly in her animations. There are a few awesome little tweaks to check out though, including an assist move that ropes in another iconic Nintendo character to help out. Here’s all of the Super Smash Bros Ultimate Peach Changes we know about so far.
- Peach has new facial expressions while fighting
- A heart will appear next to Peach’s head while performing the down taunt
- A sweep kick down tilt attack has been added
- It’s now random whether Peach will use a tennis racket, golf club or frying pan during forward smash
- Toad will protect Peach during Toad’s Counterattack
- Toad appears when Peach grabs opponents and pummels them
Peach Alternate Costumes in Super Smash Bros Ultimate

We don’t have a full set of alternate costumes for Peach yet, but we do see her wearing a yellow and black outfit in the trailer embedded above. It looks to be a new costume, though we will have to wait and see if any others pop up in the game.

Peach Final Smash in Super Smash Bros Ultimate
It’s currently unclear as to whether or not Peach Blossom will return as Peach’s final smash in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, as we don’t get any indication in the trailer. We’ll update this guide with more info as we get it.
That’s everything we know about Peach in Super Smash Bros Ultimate so far. Be sure to check back regularly, as we’ll be adding in more info on Peach as it gets released. For more details on the game as a whole, head over to our Super Smash Bros Ultimate Guides Hub.
