Devil May Cry 5 Release Date

Devil May Cry 5 will be releasing on March 8, 2019. This release date puts it right in the middle of an incredibly busy first quarter of 2019, including other blockbuster games like the Resident Evil 2 Remake, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Anthem, and more.

Devil May Cry 5 Demo

Later in 2018, Capcom released a demo for Devil May Cry 5, which was exclusive to the Xbox One at the time. This demo has since been taken offline, but you can redownload an updated and improved version of the demo on both the Xbox One and the PS4. This new demo grants you access to Nico's shop, as well as the new Punch Line Devil Breaker arm for Nero.

Devil May Cry 5 Tips

If you're looking for a helping hand while you're playing the Devil May Cry 5 demo, the official Devil May Cry Twitter account has got you sorted. Just below, you can see a series of short gameplay videos that the dev team has put together for players, aiming to get them better adjusted to the gameplay of the sequel.

Devil May Cry 5 Trailer

We know that there'll be three playable characters in Devil May Cry 5, one of which will be an older Dante. You can check out the seasoned demon slayer in the trailer just below, which was released back at the Tokyo Games Show 2018.

Elsewhere in the trailer just above, we can see the third playable character, known only as 'V'. There's precious little to go on about this newcomer right now, but we do know that we'll be playing as him for certain sections of the game, and we'll also be able to choose which character we want to play as in some sections of Devil May Cry 5.

Later in 2018, Capcom quietly revealed that there would be some customizations available for characters in Devil May Cry 5. Specifically, as you can see just below, there'll be multiple costumes for different characters, including one that changes Nico's appearance pretty dramatically.

Devil May Cry 5 Impressions

For the very first time, Devil May Cry 5 was playable for everyone attending Gamescom 2018 in Germany, and we spent a good amount of time with Nero. For all the impressions from our time with DmC 5, head ove to our Devil May Cry 5 hands-on preview.

Devil May Cry 5 Photo Mode

During a Twitch stream of the Devil May Cry 5 PAX West panel, it was revealed that there would be a photo mode coming to Capcom's sequel. You can see the full PAX West panel through YouTube just below, and the team discuss the photo mode at roughly the 21 minute mark.

Devil May Cry 5 4K and 60FPS Details

In late September, Capcom revealed that Devil May Cry 5 is targeting 4K and 60FPS, on the PS4 Pro, at least. Capcom producer Matt Walker confirmed the details on Twitter, saying "It will indeed. 4k@60fps on Pro." While the PS4 Pro doesn't technically support native 4K, it's still a reassuring extra detail from Capcom.

What Platforms is Devil May Cry 5 Coming to?

In addition to all this, Devil May Cry 5 is launching for PlayStation 4, and apparently coming to PC at a later date. The game is targeting 60 frames per second for consoles, it will also be making its way to Xbox One, after debuting on the Microsoft E3 2018 Press Conference.

As of right now, these are all the confirmed details that we have on Devil May Cry 5. As soon as Capcom announce any additional details for their upcoming game, we'll make sure to update this page immediately.
