Overwatch Anniversary 2019 Event Start Date, All New and Returning Skins

The Overwatch Anniversary Event returns for 2019, bringing with it a ton of new character skins, emotes, sprays, and more.

The Overwatch Anniversary 2019 event is almost here, returning to mark the third birthday of the hero shooter. In this complete guide to the new event, we'll be taking you through the Overwatch Anniversary 2019 start date, including a look at some of the brand new character skins returning for the limited event, and more.

Overwatch Anniversary 2019 Start Date

The Overwatch Anniversary event will start on May 1. We don't yet have a confirmed start time for the Overwatch Anniversary 2019 event, but all past events for Overwatch have kicked off right around 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET.

For this year, the Overwatch Anniversary event is slated to be sticking around for roughly a month. This is a week longer than Overwatch events usually last for, as previously events like Halloween Terror hang around for three weeks.

Overwatch Anniversary 2019 Legendary Skins

We mentioned previously that this is the third year that the Overwatch Anniversary Event is returning to the game for. As such, all previous Overwatch Anniversary Event skins, like all the character skins listed below, will be available once again in loot boxes.

On top of this, there'll also be some new character skins and emotes debuting in Overwatch for the first time during the 2019 Anniversary Event. No new character skins have been revealed right now, but as soon as they have we'll update this guide to show all of them off.

But what Overwatch character skins are the very best? If you head over to our best Overwatch skins page, USgamer staff will rank their top 15 personal best character skins in the game, released at some point over the last two years for the hero shooter.

Sometimes we include links to online retail stores. If you click on one and make a purchase we may receive a small commission. See our terms & conditions.
