The Division 2 beta was announced by Ubisoft at E3 2018, during the main reveal and presentation for the game on the big stage. In this Division 2 beta guide, we'll be running through all the details you need to know about the upcoming limited time event, including the eventual Division 2 beta start date, as well as answering key questions like how to access the Division 2 beta, all in this handy guide.

If you instead need anything else to do with The Division 2, you’ll want to head over to our main Division 2 everything we know guide. It’s here that you can find all you need to know about the forthcoming sequel shooter from Ubisoft, including multiplayer changes, and a new weapon loot system.

The Division 2 Beta Sign Up

Ubisoft has only just announced The Division 2, and it’s going to be taking place in Washington DC, featuring locations like Capitol Hill and the Lincoln Memorial. The game is scheduled for release on March 15, 2019 worldwide, on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The Division 2 beta, which was announced at Ubisoft’s E3 2018 presentation on June 11, will be available on all three platforms. To sign up for the beta, all you need to do is firstly head over to the official Division 2 website, and you’ll then have to sign into your Uplay account, or create one if you don’t haven’t created one at an earlier point in time for a previous Ubisoft game.

After this, you’ll then need to confirm the email address that you used to create or register your Uplay account once you’re done with the sign up for The Division 2 beta. Now it’s just a waiting game, as you’ll simply have to wait and see whether you’re one of the lucky players to gain access to The Division 2 beta. We say lucky, because signing up through the Division website for the beta unfortunately doesn’t guarantee you access to the beta, when it eventually comes to all three platforms.

When Does The Division 2 Beta Start?

On top of this, we don’t actually know when The Division 2 beta will be taking place. It’s worth noting that the original Division also released in March, back in 2016, and the beta for the first game took place just two months before launch, in January. It’s not unreasonable to expect the beta for The Division 2 to take place in January 2019, but we’ll have to wait and hear from Ubisoft for an official start date.

In the gameplay video for The Division 2 at Ubisoft’s E3 2018 presentation, a squad of four operatives powered through the suburban wreck of Washington DC, before taking on a boss battle at a downed Air Force One. It’s possible that this mission could be featured in the beta for The Division 2, and it’s also worth remembering that Xbox One players got a 24 hour head start on the beta for the original Division. Since The Division 2 was unveiled at Microsoft’s E3 2018 presentation, it’s not impossible that this head start will apply once again for Xbox players.

That’s all the information you need to know on The Division 2 beta as of right now. Keep an eye on this page over the coming months, as when Ubisoft announces anything official, like the start date of the beta, you can be sure to read about it here straight away.
