Final Fantasy 7 Remake Voice Actors - The Voice Cast in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake
This is our guide compiling all the Final Fantasy 7 Remake voice actors, playing characters including Cloud, Tifa, and more.
Part 1 of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be with us in March, 2020, and there's a lot to look forward to. All the characters look stunning in glorious HD, and we now know that part 1 of the game will take place exclusively in Midgar. In this guide to the Final Fantasy 7 Remake voice actors, we'll be running through the actors that are playing all of the main characters, including Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, and more.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Voice Actors
At E3 2019, alongside the announcement of a release date, the full voice cast for the game was revealed. Ee now know who's voicing Cloud, Barret, Jessie, Wedge, Biggs, Tifa, Aerith, and Sephiroth.
Cloud - Cody Christian
You might recognize Cody Christian from either Pretty Little Liars, or the fifth and sixth seasons of Teen Wolf. At just 24 years old, Christian is younger than any staff member of USG. Christ.
Honored and humbled to be able to announce my participation in the @FinalFantasy VII remake as the voice of Cloud Strife. I vow to give nothing shy of 100% and my absolute best to ensure this iconic character's depth and complexity resonates. Thank you all for the support. pic.twitter.com/bSDqhQPTDK

Aerith - Briana White
Aerith in Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be played by Briana White. You might remember White from Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping with The Lonely Island, or The Occupants back in 2015.
Aerith rides the Hardy Daytona now! Or at least her voice actress does Today has been amazing!! @FinalFantasy #FF7R pic.twitter.com/re7cv6mJMp

Barret - John Eric Bentley
Barret will be played by John Eric Bentley, who has a ton of video game credits to his name. In the last few years along he's been in Kingdom Hearts 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Spider-Man, and Telltale's Batman.
Can't even express just how honored and thankful I am to be cast in the role of Barret Wallace for the Final FantasyVII Remake! The fire's comin' y'all!! pic.twitter.com/b4f7CxZ2HC
- John Bentley (@JohnEricBentley) June 12, 2019
Tifa - Britt Baron
If you've stuck with Destiny 2, then you'll recognize Britt Baron as the voice of Ada-1. Aside from the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Baron has appeared in Netflix's Glow, Lucifer, Criminal Minds, and Grey's Anatomy.
I am so excited to be apart of the #FinalFantasyVIIRemake! Tifa is such an iconic female character and I am honored to have the opportunity to voice her. Can't wait!!! https://t.co/sk3iF2DaHg

Jessie - Erica Lindbeck
Honestly, it would be easier to list the games that Erica Lindbeck hasn't been a part of. Jessie's voice actor has most notably been in Persona 5 as Futaba, Far Cry 5, Monster Hunter: World, Fire Emblem Warriors, and Nier: Automata.
Managed to snag a pic with the Final Fantasy 7 Remake voice actors for Cloud, Jessie, & Barret: @ReallyCody, @ericalindbeck & @JohnEricBentley. It was a joy to meet you all and I cannot wait to create something awesome with you #FF7R pic.twitter.com/3214CoVzA2

Biggs - Gideon Emery
Cody Christian isn't the only actor on this list to have appeared in Teen Wolf. Gideon Emery plays Biggs in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and he's previously appeared in Daredevil, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood/New Colossus, Destiny 2, and Crackdown 3.
We're getting the wolf pack back together (kinda) - in pixels! Catch me with @tylerhoechlin and @ReallyCody in the remake of Final Fantasy VII. Nice! https://t.co/ZXhaM8dtpU

Wedge - Matt Jones
I recognized Matt Jones at first, and if you've seen Breaking Bad then you'll probably recognize him as well. He played Badger, Aaron Paul's stoner friend for all five seasons of the show, as well as appearing in Brightburn, F is for Family, and NCIS.
Sephiroth - Tyler Hoechlin
Originally an up-and-coming baseball star, Tyler Hoechlin will play Sephiroth in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, although he should have a pretty limited role in Part 1 at least, since it only takes place in Midgar. Another Teen Wolf actor, Hoechlin has also appeared in the fantastic Road to Perdition, and as Superman/Clark Kent in Supergirl/Arrow.
Interestingly enough, it doesn't actually appear that the voice cast for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake has changed while the game was stranded in development hell for the last few years. The remake was first revealed in 2015, and we then heard nothing about the project until it resurfaced with a visual makeover in May 2019. Erica Lindbeck (Jessie) revealed that she'd actually recorded Jessie's initial voice lines for the reveal trailer over 4 years ago at this point, for when Final Fantasy 7 Remake was first revealed at E3 2015.
