Judgment Voice Actors - Who are the Voice Cast Behind Judgment?
Here's our complete guide to the voice talent behind all the central characters in Judgment.
Judgment might be based on the fighting formula that worked so well for Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio in the Yakuza series, but it also features an English dub for the first time since the original Yakuza. But who are the voice actors in Judgment? In this complete Judgment voice actors guide, we'll be walking you through a full list of the vocal talent behind both the Japanese and English dub for Sega's game.
Judgment Voice Actors
In the list below, we'll be rounding up the biggest characters in Judgment, and detailing the actors behind each character. We'll also be highlighting the actors in the English dub, as you can play Judgment from start to finish with entirely English audio.
Takayuki Yagami - Takuya Kamura
You wouldn't guess it by looking at him, but Takuya Kamura is 46 years of age. In Judgment he plays the lead Takayuki Yagami, an ex-lawyer now working as a detective in Kamurocho. Kimura is actually more famed in Asia for being a member of SMAP, one of the best-selling boy bands in the whole of Asia.

Takayuki Yagami is the skateboard kick-flipping, drone-operating, leather-donning private investigator the district needs during its darkest days.

For the English dub, Yagami is voiced by Greg Chun. You'll recognize Chun's voice as that of Winston in Overwatch, Adam in Neir: Automata, the English dub of Kingdom on Netflix, or as the game show announcer in one particular sketch in I Think You Should Leave.
Ryuzo Genda - Akira Nakao
Ryuzo Genda plays the role of Takayuki Yagami's mentor in Judgment. Although Yagami is now an ex-lawyer, Genda still helps his former star even now, offering him work to get by as a detective. Gyuzo is voiced by Akira Nakao (not the former boxer), an actor and director with roles in Owls' Castle and Godzilla, among others.
Genda is an experienced lawyer and founder of his own law firm, a place where Yagami started his law career.

In the English dub of Judgment, Genda is voiced by Brian McNamara, who has a staggering 127 acting credits to his name on IMDB. He's recently appeared in Designated Survivor, NCIS and CSI, Grimm, Hawaii Five-0, and many other roles.
Kazuya Ayabe - Kenichi Takitoh
Not everyone plays by the book in Judgment. Kazuya Ayabe is one such character, a crooked cop in Kamurocho who often withholds and dishes out information on cases for his own personal gain. Ayabe is played by Kenichi Takitoh, a long-time Japanese TV and film actor with roles in Terra Formars, Fish Story, Unforgiven, April Fools, and more.

For the English dub of Judgment, you'll be hearing the voice of Matthew Yang King for Ayabe. Appearing in Riverdale, Code Black, and Lucifer in recent years, Yang Kim has also voiced characters in Mortal Kombat 11, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Love, Death, and Robots, and more.
Mitsuru Kuroiwa - Shosuke Tanihara
Think of Mitsuru Kuroiwa as the opposite of Ayabe. This Tokyo detective in Judgment plays strictly by the book, and has an astounding arrest rate in cases he's in charge of. Kuroiwa is played by Shosuke Tanihara in Judgment, who has appeared in Fudoh: The New Generation, and hosts Twenty-Four Living, a popular podcast within Japan.
Kuroiwa plays an important role in Yagami's investigation, some would even say a critical one.

Kuroiwa is voiced in the English dub of Judgment by Matthew Mercer, who has appeared in just about everything. Famed for his D&D group Critical Role, some of Mercer's biggest roles include McCree in Overwatch, MacReady in Fallout 4, Chrom in the Fire Emblem series, and Levi in Attack on Titan.
Masahiro Kaito - Shinshi Fuji
Masahiru Kaito plays the role of Yagami's partner in Judgment. He's an ex-Yakuza thrown out of the Matsugane family, and he's now working alongside Yagami to solve cases. Kaito is voiced by Shinshu Fuji, who has previously had voice roles in Mobile Suit Gundam, Starship Troopers: Invasion, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and more.
A true friend will always have your back with a flying kick... well at least that's what Kaito seems to go by.

In the English dub of Judgement, Kaito is voiced by Crispin Freeman, a storied voice actor for Japanese games and anime series. He's had roles in Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children, Batman: Arkham Origins, Overwatch, Days Gone, Kingdom Hearts 3, and many more.
Mafuyu Fujii - Risa Shimizu
Mafuyu Fujii is an old friend of Yagami in Judgment, and keeps in contact with him even after his fall from grace. Fujii is played by anime actor Risa Shimizu, who has recently had roles in Pokemon Sun and Moon, Mobile Suit Gundam, Koi Kaze, and others.
A brilliant prosecutor with a strong sense of justice, Mafuyu Fujii seems to have a bit of a history with Yagami.

Cherami Leigh plays Fujii in the English dub of Judgment, who you'll probably recognize as best girl Makoto Niijima in Persona 5. Leigh's other acting credits include Sailor Moon, Steins;Gate, and Sword Art Online. She'll also be playing the female lead in Cyberpunk 2077, the next game from CD Projekt RED.
