Fortnite Risky Reels Treasure - Fortnite Week 1 Treasure Location
This is a guide on how to complete the Fortnite Week 1 Treasure Challenge that tasks you to 'Follow the treasure map found in Risky Reels'.
'Follow the treasure map found in Risky Reels' is one of the main tasks as part of the Fortnite Week 1 Challenges, that are now live in the game to mark the start of the new Season 5. In this Fortnite Risky Reels treasure map guide, we'll be detailing how you can complete this challenge as easily as possible, to tick off a challenge on your way to completing every challenge for this debut week.
Now that the latest seasonal event for Battle Royale is live, you can check out our complete Fortnite Season 5 guide. It’s in this page that you’ll find all you need to know about the new Battle Pass, including the price you need to pay up front, as well as the various skins and other cosmetic items that you can earn once you’ve levelled up your new Battle Pass and unlocked new reward tiers.
Fortnite Risky Reels Treasure - Follow the Treasure Map Week 1 Challenge
Seasoned Fortnite players will by now know that you don’t actually have to visit Risky Reels and obtain the treasure map, in order to find the actual resting point of the treasure star itself. If you know where you’re going (which you will once you’ve read this guide), you can instead go to the final point on the map where the treasure is hiding.
So, where is the final resting point of the treasure star on the Fortnite Battle Royale map? Although the map has changed with the Season 5 update, and brought in brand new locations like Paradise Palms and Lazy Links, you’re not going to be heading to either of these new locations to complete the challenge. Instead, you’re going to be heading to Tomato Town.

Fortnite Week 1 Treasure Location - Risky Reels
Once you jump out of the Battle Bus, you need to point your glider down towards the southern end of Tomato Town. As you approach the location, you’ll see that there’s a tunnel running through the rock wall to the south of the main town. You need to position yourself to land on the rocky ledge just above this tunnel entrance.

As soon as you’re on the hard ground here, overlooking Tomato Town to the north, the treasure star will spawn out of the ground for you. Remember that once you’ve claimed the treasure star, you still need to finish the match, so don’t quit out.

But this is far from the only challenge you can complete in this week of Fortnite Battle Royale. If you head over to our Fortnite Week 1 Challenges guide, you can find a complete walkthrough of how to complete all the six additional challenges for the week, including how to track down every single chest within Snobby Shores.

Otherwise, you can check out our additional individual guides on Fortnite Season 5. We mentioned that there are a ton of new skins and other cosmetic items in the game right now that we’ve never seen before, such as the fabled Ragnarok skin. For a complete list of all the new locations, check out our Fortnite Season 5 skins guide.
