Destiny 2 Crimson Days Valentine's Day Event Guide
Bungie recently lifted the lid on the Crimson Days event for Destiny 2, which functions as a Valentine's Day event for the game. After a hiatus in 2017, the Crimson Days event is making its debut in Destiny 2 in February 2018, and it's bringing in a load of new Shaders, Emotes, Sparrows, and other items through the Eververse Trading Company.
Destiny 2 Crimson Days Start Date - When Does Crimson Days End?
Since Valentine's Day has now come and gone, the Crimson Days for Destiny 2 is now live, having kicked off back on February 13. Be aware that the Crimson Days event is only running for a very limited time, as Bungie revealed it's due to wrap up with the following weekly reset on February 20, exactly a week later.
What to Expect From Crimson Days 2017 Destiny 2 Event
Every new item featured in the Destiny 2 Crimson Days event will be on a "knock-off list", which basically prevents players from receiving the same item twice. You'll receive the standard Illuminated Engram every time you level up, but you'll also be granted the new Crimson Engram, which will unlock a new item featured in the Valentine's-themed event.
Outside of all the standard Guardian gear that can be unlocked through the Crimson Engrams, there are five other ways to unlock Crimson Days-themed items:
- Complete the weekly Nightfall Strike to earn the Flaunting Dance Emote.
- Complete the Leviathan Raid or the Raid Lair to unlock the Dieselpunk Exotic Ornament for the Exotic Wardcliff Coil.
- Complete matches in the Crimson Days Crucible Playlist for the chance to earn the Undeterred Exotic Sparrow.
- Play five Crimson Days matches to complete the 'Welcome to Crimson Days' Milestone, and then visit Lord Shaxx to earn the Fire of the Crimson Days Emblem and the Tirastrella Ghost Shell.
We mentioned the brand new Crimson Days Playlist in the Destiny 2 Crucible, but what does this actually contain? The mode for the Playlist is Clash, but with two players on both teams, both of which will have to stay in close proximity to one another so that their ability recharge faster. If either teammate should stray away from each other, the opposing team will be given a waypoint, leading straight to their location.
