FIFA Ultimate Team (or FUT) has turned nine years old. It's hard to believe, but it's true. To Celebrate this birthday, EA is running special FUT birthday celebration events in FIFA 18. In this guide to the FUT 9th Birthday Celebration we'll detail when the event starts and finishes, the special birthday squad player cards, and the new Squad Building Challenges.

FIFA FUT 18 Birthday Squad

The FUT Birthday Squad is made up of players that have been dominant in previous years of FIFA Ultimate Team. As with all special player cards, these FUT Birthday Squad players will be available as cards in packs. The special Birthday Squad cards will start appearing today, March 16, and come out of packs on March 25.

As well as Birthday Squad players, the celebration will also bring new Squad Building Challenges to FIFA 18 Ultimate Team, plus new Prime Icons. The new Prime Icon Player Cards can be obtained through card packs or through completing the FUT Birthday SBCs.

St. Patrick's Day FUT Objectives

On top of the special cards and SBCs we detailed above, FUT 18 is also celebrating St. Patrick's Day this week. With themed Weekly Objectives to complete, players can earn special Irish Player cards that can be used to complete some of the new FUT Birthday SBCs.
