Rage 2 Multiplayer - Is There Multiplayer in Rage 2?

Does Rage 2 feature multiplayer at all?

Rage 2 is the brand new shooter from Bethesda, which basically combines elements from the 2016 Doom reboot, with Avalanche's Mad Max game. In this guide to the game, we'll be walking you through everything you need to know about multiplayer in Rage 2.

Does Rage 2 Have Multiplayer?

Simply speaking, Rage 2 does not have multiplayer. It's a strictly single-player game from Bethesda, which is arguably what the publisher has been known for with successes like the Fallout and Elder Scrolls series.

Unfortunately, this means you're going to be playing Rage 2 entirely on your own. Although it does look a crazy fun couch co-op game, the shooter unfortunately features no multiplayer elements whatsoever.

This actually applies to the race track in Rage 2 as well. Although you can record your best times on the race track to claim tickets and win prizes, there isn't an option to stack your best times up against those of your friends online. So you're really only racing to beat yourself, and the rest of the AI-controlled drivers on the track.

We should also mention that Bethesda doesn't have any future plans to bring online multiplayer elements to Rage 2. Although there have been two small expansions and various updates detailed for the game, Bethesda won't be adding multiplayer in further down the road.
