WWE 2K19 Pre-Order Bonus

Players who pre-order WWE 2K19 will be granted a couple of bonus playable characters as a reward. The first special playable character is Rey Mysterio. The second was recently revealed to be Ronda Rousey, in an awesome Rowdy Roddy Piper Tribute video that you can watch below.

You can pre-order any of the three versions available to receive Ronda Rousey and Rey Mysterio as bonus playable characters. We'll now go on to detail each version of WWE 2K19.

WWE 2K19 Standard Edition

This is the base version of WWE 2K19. It comes with the full game, and then the pre-order bonuses of Rey Mysterio and Ronda Rousey as detailed previously. It's available in both digital and physical formats.

WWE 2K19 Deluxe Edition

The Deluxe Edition is the next step up for fans looking to grab a copy of the game. The WWE 2K19 Deluxe Edition comes with a copy of the full game as well as the following extras:

  • The pre-order bonuses of the two additional superstars
  • The WWE 2K19 Season Pass
  • Bonus Digital Content
  • Early Access to the game

The Deluxe Edition of WWE 2K19 is available as both physical and digital versions.

WWE 2K19 Collector's Edition

The WWE 2K19 Collector's Edition is a physical only version of the game that comes with everything listed in the Deluxe Edition, as well as "Exclusive Physical Collectibles". We're not sure exactly what these are yet, but we'll likely hear more in the run up to launch.

WWE 2K19 Early Access

As mentioned previously, those who pre-order either the Deluxe or Collector's Edition of WWE 2K19 will gain Early Access to the game. Four days Early Access to be precise, with the game going live on Friday, October 5. Pre-ordering is the only way to play the game, otherwise it's a case of waiting for the full release on October 9.

WWE 2K19 Showcase Mode

After skipping last year's WWE game, Showcase Mode will make its glorious return in WWE 2K19. For those who don't know, Showcase Mode lets you re-enact matches and awesome moments from WWE history. Players can earn vintage outfits and rings for completing certain matches, pulling from a wide back-catalogue of iconic WWE content. Daniel Bryan will be the star of the show this time around, with players able to re-enact his first ever match against John Cena, his win as Wrestlemania 30 Champ, and more. There will be 20 cutscenes, nine classic arenas, 1 different character models of Bryan, over 11 classic matches.

WWE 2K19 Nintendo Switch

Given that WWE 2K18 release on Nintendo Switch, many had assumed that the next game would as well. Unfortunately, this isn't the case, as 2K has confirmed that there will be no Nintendo Switch version of WWE 2K19. This is likely due to the poor reception of WWE 2K18 on Nintendo Switch, which was plagued by performance issues and was noticeably lacking feature parity with its PS4 and Xbox counterparts. WWE 2K19 will only release on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

WWE 2K19 Cover Star

While there are still plenty of details that we don't know about WWE 2K19, we do know who the cover star will be. AJ Styles will grace the cover of WWE 2K19, and is one of the only confirmed wrestlers we have for the game so far.

That's everything we know about WWE 2K19 so far. Stay tuned for more details on the game, as we'll be updating this guide with more info as we get it.
