Mass Effect: Andromeda: Sentinel Guide, Best Strategies

Mass Effect: Andromeda: Sentinel Guide, Best Strategies

All you need to know about Mass Effect Andromeda’s intuitive new combat Profiles, abilities, and the skills that you unlock along with them. Complete guide.

In this guide we’ll tell you have to combine the powers of Tech and Biotics with Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Sentinel profile. With Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Sentinel profile, you’ll start getting into the more advanced profiles in the game. While not as good at improving tech skills as the Engineer profile, or as good at boosting Biotics as the Adept, the Sentinel profile can meld the Biotic and Tech skill trees into a unique and hearty synthesis.

How to Unlock the Mass Effect Andromeda Sentinel Profile

Unlocking the Sentinel profile is a bit tougher than the profiles that just involve one of the three skill trees. Once you’ve invested at least three skill points into Biotics, and three skill points into Tech, you’ll receive the ability to use the Sentinel profile.

Mass Effect Andromeda Sentinel Profile Unique Bonuses

The Sentinel comes with a unique bonus skill that helps make it into a tank. Tech Armor, the Sentinel profile’s ability, grants +30 damage resistance to health once shields are depleted.

Mass Effect Andromeda Sentinel Profile Rank Requirements and Boosts

The Sentinel profile requires that you dedicate yourself to both the Biotic and Tech Skill Trees. Unlike Soldiers, Engineers, and Adepts, you’re not going to keep raising the Sentinel profile's levels accidentally; this is a profile you have to want to rank up. It takes an even mix of skill points spent in the Biotic and Tech Skill Trees to unlock Sentinel ranks.

Recommended Strategies and Skills for Use With the Sentinel Profile

The Sentinel is a specialized profile that’s best at using shields to its advantage. Both the Lance and Nova Biotic receive an upgrade that allows them to become “shield-powered” meaning they no longer have a recharge and instead use shields when they’re cast.

With the Sentinel’s shield boosting abilities and Tech Armor ability that raises damage resistance when shields are down, this profile can be a tank or a Biotic powerhouse. However, you’ll find your options with both Tech and Biotics much more limited than if you chose a profile that focused solely on one skill tree, so make sure you’ve grasped the strategy you wish to use with this profile; otherwise you’ll be using it for nothing.
