Mass Effect Andromeda Walkthrough - How to Complete the A Trial of Hope Mission, Helping Havarl’s Scientists

A complete guide to your space adventure, including full mission walkthroughs and loads of advice to help make your journey easier.

Some scientists have got caught up in a bit of a pickle at a monolith site. Ryder and co head over to see if they can help. In this Mass Effect Andromeda guide we'll walk you through the Trial of Hope mission.

We've got far more than this mission walkthrough, so head over to our Mass Effect Andromeda Guide and MIssion Walkthrough hub for everything you need to be an excellent space explorer person.

Once landing on Havarl head straight to the research centre directly down the path in front of you. Go inside and talk to Kiiran Dals, lead scientist at Daar Palaav. The rest of the team has been trapped in Remnant stasis field near a monolith. Agree you help rescue them and be on your way.

Make your way to the closest forward station and then walk directly to the next, picking up any mineral deposits and items along the way. At the second forward station there's a massive mineral cache, so take all those and then make your way towards the mission marker. You'll come up against a couple of beasts and raiders, but they aren't hard to take out. Dispose of them and carry on towards the marker.

Solve the Havarl Remnant Puzzle

Head into the monolith area and clear out the Remnant. Stay on high ground and near cover. Once the area is safe walk on and up the ramps on the other side. You'll come across the researcher's up ahead, each trapped inside a stasis field. Interface with the console and you'll be given a Remnant puzzle to solve. Before solving it you'll need to scan the area for missing glyphs. Use your scanner to follow the conduit traveling from the console to the two glyphs. Scan each one and then return to the puzzle.

Solve it using the solution below (and head here for solutions to all the puzzles).

You'll free the researchers from stasis. Now head back to Dals in the research center, talk to her and complete the Havarl Scientists mission. Jaal thinks Ryder has now done enough to prove to Evfra that he can be trusted, so board the Tempest and talk to Evfra from the meeting room.

Use the vidcon terminal in the Tempest's meeting room to call Evfra. He'll talk about letting you help find the Moshae. Ryder convinces him that he should be on the mission due to the AI he has embedded. Evfra says to meet the resistance on Voeld in the Nol System. Go the Galaxy Map and head to Voeld.

We've also got lots of more general tips for you, including solving Remnant Puzzles in Mass Effect Andromeda and a guide to understanding viability. Next up in the main story is a trip to Habitat 6, where things will geta little cold and rather dangerous.

Be ready for some tough fire fights and a bit of emotional story development. Ryder will have to make some hard decisions.

His love of gaming started soon after, which essentially meant he bought every video game magazine available and worked numerous part-time jobs as a child in order to afford costly N64 games. He created UK site, of which he was the Editor for over a decade. He now doesn't like circuses.
