Mass Effect Andromeda How to Romance Liam

Mass Effect Andromeda How to Romance Liam

A step by step walkthrough to get up close and personal with the the main Mass Effect Andromeda characters. To be blunt: this is how to have sex with them! Complete Romance Guide.

Liam is one of the first characters you meet in Mass Effect: Andromeda. He'll be aboard the Tempest during your very first mission to Eos. Once you build a settlement, you'll be able to talk to Liam in the storage space at the rear of the ship on the lower level. He moves around the ship like most of the characters, but that's usually where you can find him. Required: Female Ryder

If you don't want to romance Liam (we don't blame you as he's not the most interesting character in Mass Effect Andromeda), not to worry. We've got plenty more useful articles on our Mass Effect Andromeda Guide and Mission Walkthroughs hub.

Mass Effect Andromeda Liam - How to Romance

Liam is partial to Sara Ryder. Visit him often and keep the conversations flowing. You don't need to complete his loyalty mission or set up the crew movie night that he's been pushing for. He's one of the easier characters to romance if you're playing as Sara Ryder.

Speak to Liam on the Tempest in storage by the Nomad. He's moving a couch and will invite you to sit down for a drink. He'll ask what interests you about the mission. Respond with the romantic response of, "company like this." He'll say that you don't know him yet. It sounds like he's going to want to slow play this situation. After that conversation, you can talk to him again and tell him you're interested in him. Ryder will clumsily try a pickup line and fail. Liam will say that they should bank the conversation for another day.

Liam loves getting his top off

Once Jaal is onboard, you can head into the storage space and see the two of them bonding and getting to know each other. They are both stripped down and wearing close to nothing, which is alarming to Ryder at first. Ask them what they are up to and they'll tell you about a little game they are playing. There isn't much to do here in terms of romance, but it opens the door for your next interaction with Liam.

After you take down the facility on Voeld where the Angara were being taken prisoner by the Kett, head and talk to him in his usual storage location. He'll be there shirtless and doing pushups. Have the conversation with him about he past, and his favorite thing from the Milky Way: it's his old car. Give him the romance dialog choice, "I need someone, and so do you." You'll have to hit the right trigger in a timed action to go all the way with him.

There’s still more to do with Liam even after the casual sex, but there are some prerequisites you’ll have to accomplish to take your relationship to the next level. After you leave and return to the Tempest, find Liam and speak to him. You’ll have an awkward conversation on account of the casual sex, but he’ll invite you to a bar on Aya. Take the ship to Aya and find him, he’ll have you scan some vendors at the market place for some unsavory business stealing. Tell him you’re cool with it once you return to him.

Once this conversation takes place, you’ll need to have settlements on three different planets in order to unlock the next step of Liam’s romance. You can do this by activating Forward Stations and unlocking the three Remnant Towers that are on each planet. Once you’ve settled on three planets. Find Liam once again aboard the Tempest and talk to him. He got caught trying to take some tech and he needs your help in tracking it down and getting there first. This will open his loyalty mission “All In.” Head to the debris field in the Sephesa System and carry out the mission.

After the mission is complete, check your email. Liam has something he wants to show you on Eos. Head there and to the waypoint in the main settlement. He’s set up a soccer field for the settlers to enjoy. Choose the romance dialog option that are on the left of the dialog wheel, and the two of you will scurry back to the Tempest.

Speak to him again aboard once you’re back. He’s designed a special jump jet mod called the “Lover’s Jump Jet.” Head over to the development kiosk on the Tempest and develop the jump jet under the “Special” tab. You’ll need six Aluminum and two iridium. Then head to Eos to see what he has in store.

Leave the Tempest with Liam and head to the waypoint on Eos. It’s on top of a large rock formation, so you’ll have to follow a path and go around and away from the waypoint at first. The formation is too high to reach from right below. You’ll have to head through the cave formation to the northeast of the waypoint in order to go up and around. Once you’ve reached high enough ground, head to the waypoint on foot and enjoy the romantic scene. There will be a timed button prompt for you to “jump.” Be sure to do that.
