However, we discovered that at the time the Switch preview build of the game had major input lag and frame rate issues. You can head over to our complete Bloodstained preview for a full analysis of the game.

Speaking to a rep from 505 Games after going hands-on with the preview build, they assured us that Bloodstained would be better optimized for the Switch in time for release later in the year. Perhaps this is the reason behind the week delay for the Switch release of Bloodstained.

Back before Bloodstained launched, it was revealed that there would be post-launch DLC planned for the game. There'll be a boss rush and speedrun modes for Bloodstained, as well as two more playable characters, and local and online co-op and versus modes, at an unknown date after launch.

It's unclear yet whether this free DLC for Bloodstained will come to the Nintendo Switch at the same time as other platforms. We'll update this section of our guide when we know more.
