Here's our guide to the Bloodstained Ritual of the Night Switch release date.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is out right now for the Nintendo Switch. Although the game originally released for consoles and PC a week earlier, and the Bloodstained Ritual of the Night Switch release date is now finally here.

Bloodstained Ritual of the Night Switch Release Date

The Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Switch release date was June 25, 2019. The slightly delayed release for Nintendo's console comes right around a week after Bloodstained launched for PC, PS4, and Xbox One back on June 18.

The reason for the delayed release? 505 Games hasn't given an official reason for the staggered release for the Switch version of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. But it's the same price as all the other versions of the game, retailing for $39.99.

Bloodstained Ritual of the Night Switch Preview

Back in March 2019, we got the chance to play Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night on the Nintendo Switch. However, we discovered that at the time the Switch preview build of the game had major input lag and frame rate issues. You can head over to our complete Bloodstained preview for a full analysis of the game.

Speaking to a rep from 505 Games after going hands-on with the preview build, they assured us that Bloodstained would be better optimized for the Switch in time for release later in the year. Perhaps this is the reason behind the week delay for the Switch release of Bloodstained.

Bloodstained Ritual of the Night Switch DLC

Back before Bloodstained launched, it was revealed that there would be post-launch DLC planned for the game. There'll be a boss rush and speedrun modes for Bloodstained, as well as two more playable characters, and local and online co-op and versus modes, at an unknown date after launch.

It's unclear yet whether this free DLC for Bloodstained will come to the Nintendo Switch at the same time as other platforms. We'll update this section of our guide when we know more.

You can now purchase 'Iga's Back Pack' for $10, on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of Bloodstained. This pass will arrive for the Nintendo Switch a week later, when it launches on June 25. Contained within this pack for Bloodstained is a boss fight against Castlevania creator Koji Igarashi, where you can earn the Swordwhip weapon.
