How to Search a Lightning Bolt in Fortnite

So what do you need to do once you’ve found a lightning bolt? All you need to do to search a lightning bolt is reach it, and hold down Square/X to completely search the bolt of lightning itself. However the bolts are always up in the air, so you’re going to have to build your way up to each one if you want to search it—but this can leave you as a bit of a sitting duck out in the open while you’re building up to the lightning bolt.

Once you’ve searched seven of the available lightning bolts scattered around the Fortnite map, you’ve successfully completed this Week 1 Challenge. Note that all seven of the lightning bolts don’t have to be searched in one game, and you can instead take your time to search the seven bolts over as many games as you need. This is just one of the seven overall challenges available for the opening week of Fortnite Season 5, and once you’ve eventually completed all seven challenges in whichever order you choose, you’ll bag yourself a bonus reward of 5,000 XP.
