Will More Characters be Added to Super Smash Bros Ultimate as DLC
In recent iterations, Smash Bros received additional characters post-launch. These were added in as paid DLC, and would sometimes be the result of a voting process from the community. This raises the question as to whether a similar release plan will apply to Super Smash Bros Ultimate. During Nintendo's E3 Direct, Ultimate Director Masahiro Sakurai explained that because the game features so many characters this time around, there would likely be very few extras added in post-launch:
We made including every single fighter ever our number one goal, so I'm kind of hoping you're not expecting too many new challengers.
So it seems that while we may get some additional characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it's likely to be fewer than we've seen previously.
That's everything we know about the characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. We'll be updating this guide as we get more info, so stay tuned for more details.
